Thought or Rant of the day!!!

Not in the greatest of moods. Spent last week at my boyfriend's, when my kittens inexplicably decided they wanted to have sex with each other, and since they're brother and sister, having to keep them seperated until we could afford to nueter them was creepy and soul stealing.
No to mention, after I left, my bf's asshole roommate let the boy out of the bathroom, where we'd been keeping him, while my bf was at work, so they probably had sex and we HAVE to go get her fixed now, money or no, and somehow knowing that they did it left me feeling dirty. Like, what kind of world is this where kitten siblings have sex with each other?
My older cats got fixed before they hit that stage, so I was spared that as a kid, and it never entered my world-view. And now it just makes everything seem...wrong.
Other stuff is also happening that also kind of sucks, and I'm thinking of quitting Cantr. I know I'll want to play again, but I just don't have the time right now, and I feel like I'm half-assing my chars. They're not priority, and I think they're suffering for it, and as much as there's two chars I want to see through this, I'm seriously considering the big green X. I don't know.
I wish life were better.

Put your account on leave for a little while. Make sure your characters have food and let them sit for a bit. I've actually been considering the same thing and after today, closer to it. I've one or two characters keeping me going now and am hoping I get my interest back soon.

RL can be tough and I could sit here and tell you that you shouldn't quit. The reality of it is that I don't know what you are going through in your life and can just tell you to give it more thought before you do so. If that is what you need to do, then do so. We will be here when your life gets better, and you come back.

It'll be a lot cheaper to get the male fixed, than the female, but at this point, if she's carrying a litter, I suppose you don't have a choice. Animals need to procreate. If all they have is a sibling, then they'll take what they can get.

Logistically, I know these things, but somehow, this small thing rocks my whole worldview.
It's like cats were this sexless, fuzzy, lump of non-emotion, and that got me through so much...adding sex to the equation freaks me out so much. Not to mention my own personal feelings that they're siblings.
But I've had sex, I know the stuff involved, and I in no way want to associate that with my adorable little kittens. It just seems wrong on such a deep level, no matter how stupid I know I'm logically being.
And as for quitting/sleeping...with some of my chars I could do that, just stock up and sleep, but for two of them I can't--it's not part of their personality, and I feel like they're needed by the people around them.
I don't know...
I'm just going to shut up now, I'm being useless.

Ummm....I don't know much about cat physiology, so correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the fact that they are doing the deed kinda mean they are no longer "kittens", but "cats"? (well, at least the male... he could just be a pedophile (and how's that for screwing with your worldview?))

I think it would be gatakiphile, since medical terms (esp. phobias and philias) tend to have Greek, rather than Latin roots.
