Earlier this week, I did something I had never done before.

I played Cantr in the shower....

It was a little shameful but there was stuff going on and I really needed to shower before going to work!

...you make index cards with green smiley faces and pass them out to people at school/work trying to get the word out about the best game ever.

...you fall asleep while Cantriing in bed with your mobile device or laptop.

...you can't properly wake up in the mornings until you've checked all your charries.

Sleeping in 3 hours increments.

Setting more that one timer.

Getting up in the middle of your night ( against your 3 hour rule) to say anything...just so the others dont know when your normal sleeping habits are.

When cantr life effects things like.... do you want me to take you out for dinner...sorry the XXXX are going to kick someone's butt later I CANNOT miss this, will you bring me home this? No. Ok, I'll do without, have a good time. *eats crackers because I haven't gone to the store in two weeks ( I hate to shop but I have an art to socializing, at least I used to)

This is going to eventually pay off right? Grrr! I need an idea for a book and it only comes to me in dreams I can only remember as...oh yeah that was a good idea.

I have a note on my mobile device containing every dream I've had where I remembered it enough to write down immediately after waking up and in detail. I have a weird mind....


You know you're addicted to Cantr when you go to bed knowing something important's going to happen to one or more of your characters while you're asleep, and even though you set no timers or alarms, you still somehow manage to wake up within minutes of it happening.

How about... you sense something's about to happen, not knowing what though... and manage to wake up and log on just RIGHT on time to fend off a group of attackers - had this and similar things happen a few times, have heard (well, read) of other players with similar experiences too.
Or... when you just sense someone's about to arrive at your char's location... and it turns out to be some long lost friend of your char... well, same thing really.

But my latest sign was a dream in which I was sitting on a raker, trading with my cat for something, and then telling her she could have my other raker which I once found afloat with no lock, in my dream thinking "yes, it will help you, my friend, and now I no longer need to worry about it being stolen, and you'll no longer need to hang around on my ship", and then two or three days later seeing an eerily similar thing happen between chars that weren't mine.
