yeah...that pic was NOT easy to get, either. old photo from where i used to work at a b&b. owner had me wear some authentic garb for some town meeting that she had to host. i have a pic of the whole outfit if you wanna see? the dress was a bit large, but there wasn't much choice as she only had two antique dresses, and the other was far too small.

It's poster paint painted on a laminated sheet, and then pressed onto a piece of paper. It's called a monoprint because....you only get one like it.

And who's Boxxy?

Boxxy is a girl who, through really not much doing on her own, became an internet meme. Her quirky videos had been grabbed and posted on a website and quickly spiraled out of control with armies of people claiming they either loved her or hated her, her videos remixed, etc. Quickly, cyberspace intruded upon RL as a group of haters threatened her, hacked her accounts, discovered her real name (Catherine Wayne) and address, and forced her to retire from the internet, in fear. Her meteoric rise and fall were one of the horror stories of the internet. After hiding out for more than a year, she has resurfaced this past month. Maybe. The jury is still out on whether the newest video is a fake.

Snick doesn't really care so long as she gets fed, though she'd probably appreciate it if we stopped randomly yelling "Snick!" across the house as much.

Basically, "Snick" is the result of many random occurences that caused her original name to be morphed beyond recognisable association (if that makes sense). Originally when we got her, I wanted to name her Malinda because you could pull a lot of nicknames from it (Millie, Mindy, Mandy, Linda, Lindy, etcetera). So she came home, we registered her at the vet as Malinda, and called her Malinda for a short amount of time. Then, somehow, I think I was comparing her sweetness to a snickerdoodle but that theory's unconfirmed, and she came to be known as Snickerdoodle, which morphed into Snickers and Snickerdude. From there, the "er" became replaced with "ie" and she was Snickiedude for a long time; in fact, most of my usernames to anywhere are snickiedude, and when joining the forums I seriously contemplated putting my forum nick as snickiedude, but I decided against it because I'm female, and went with Snickiedoo instead. We've a lot of other names and songs for her now, including Snickie, Snick, Snickiedoo, Snick-to-my-loo, Mahloo (pronounced muh-LŪ), and all "Snick" variants with the s at the beginning removed (Nikki, Nickiedoo, Nicktumahloo, etc).
I'm debating whether or not to say something here about Snick the character, that's relevant to the current conversation, but is probably something that should be revealed in-game.

Ninja (the Siamese) is our only male. He's lucky in that his name is semi-normal. Lol

I think I meant to put up a picture a loooong time ago. Contrary to what my old avatar will have you believe, I'm not actually purple. I also usually have a ring in my nose and a stud in my lip, because I'm convinced two studs make it look like I've been shot through the face with something and each stud is an end
