I can see the light... It's so pretty.......

Carol Anne, listen to me! Do NOT go into the light! Stop where you are! Turn away from it! Don't even look at it!

But it's such a pretty light… =o
*continues to run in exaggeratedly slow motion towards the light with "Chariots of Fire" playing*
(And my name isn't Carol Anne...who is that? If it's someone from the movie, then forgive me as I've never seen the movie, only heard the soundtrack.)

You mean Chariots of Fire? Haven't seen it either. Great soundtrack, though... Vangelis...
I was evoking a different movie.

Come on, you did see this one, right? Or at least one of the million parodies.

I'm glad I changed my password ages ago when I found out the entire PD section is full of your and mine passwords, meaning they weren't encrypted. I came back to check upon Cantr and hell, I'm not in the least surprised.
Cantr isn't hard to 'hack' to begin with and if you don't encrypt your member's passwords (something which should be said upon registration IMO) you're just asking for it.

Passwords are encrypted since half a year or so.
There are many security leaks in the old legacy code, but things will be better when the current work is finished.

I'm pretty sure it says on the front page that whoever decided to hack into Cantr has the passwords in raw text. How do you explain that if the passwords were encrypted?

Passwords of people who never logged in after the implementation of encrypting are in plain text. Also plenty of staff members had accounts in the test environment without knowing of their existence so they never logged in there.

@Wiro - Jos forgot we encrypted the passwords. That's it. I reminded him after he posted that message.

Ah. Weird that not all passwords weren't just encrypted like that then.
Back to the shadows. Ciao all.
