I've just cleared first of my 'animal series' scetches - fluffy crafty racoon

Ooooh pretty pretty pretty! I love the raccoon especially, want to cuddle it.

That's an interesting idea, too, sketching the character with their animal. :p From the "I am" thread, right?

Right :P now I'm clearing the 'hawk'... although somehow his sketch is not up-to-date anymore

I actually have no idea which of the animals was the one I know (well, I had a guess, but I'm starting to think it's wrong). Anyway, I look foward to seeing the others, because even if I have on idea who they are, they're pretty.

Here's one of Sylvie that I did tonight:

#2 is her, younger, drawn by raspberrytea (and posted earlier in this thread).

There's one drawn by the character Blue Gray that I can add in here when the game comes back up.

What program did you use to do that, Doug?
I'm rather desperate and bored and withdrawing, and I've been wanting to make character images for awhile now, I mean, other than the icky happy-like figures I've been using on BuddyPoke on Facebook.

I drew my Fu Island character's face on the cover of my journal for my art class about a month ago, but the teacher hasn't given it back. I don't think I'd've posted it anyway, as it was utterly free-handed, and I'm not very good at free-handing, especially when it comes to proportions. For example, the last time I freehanded a person, her eyes were too wide and her face was exceptionally round and short.

What I need to do is draw Snick; in retrospect (a.k.a. contemplating the lives of my characters as part of my withdrawal), I get the feeling that her character description is rather vague and could easily be interpreted wrongly.
I'll get on to that as soon as I'm caught up with all my work in all seven of my classes, and if nothing is happening on Cantr itself.

I use the avatar generator in Second Life. It's the only thing I've found Second Life useful or entertaining for.

One could use "The Sims" creator too.

I thought about that, but I misplaced my Sims 2 CD years ago...unless it's in my dad's office… in which case there's not much hope for it there either, but far more than in my room.

Well, Second Life is free to download, so, have at it. The hardest part is to find a quiet place to work without other people around.

You'll need Linden dollars to buy accessories (unless you design your own), but there's some easy ways to earn enough. I filled out a couple of surveys and got myself 1500 LD - more than enough to accessorize my avatars.

They have those spots where you can stand and earn like 1 dollar every minute or something. You just need to make sure you don't idle out.

Yea, but you can't get those spots, because they're always taken. Plus, there's other people at those places, and I don't want to be bothered. I typically find a private island that the owner forgot to/didn't set to private and hang out there until they catch me.

Sims are good for that, and then you can play your characters

I've been using PerfectWorld MMORPG character creator some time ago, too, but it's not flexible in the right way for Cantr charries

I tried to download Second Life just now, but apparently it's too big for my screen resolution. I'm going to have to drag the giant monitor back out of my closet again. :\

Meh. Until then, I suppose I can do homework....
