Re: Thought or Rant of the day!!!
Like I said, I do not have this problem with English speaking sellers, no means no and they stop. They do not hold the one thing you DO want and force you to listen to their sales pitch again and again after multiple statements that you are not interested in anything except what you have already ordered.
And to be honest, if it isn't because of their inability to understand my repeated "no's" then they were simply being an ass and should be fired. But that is my opinion.

That's probably the reason, and yeah, they were being an ass. But they were -understanding- your "no", I'm sure. They were just ignoring it.

Well, in my experience, they are the ones more careful to NOT be an ass because they value their ability to work. Well, I guess if I am wrong, and that they are just being an ass, I will be too.

Where the heck do you buy stuff? I mean, I don't get harassed for chicken, but when we stopped in to look at cars once, after two hours and 65 nos, we drove out with a car. Also, no one that's ever called my house asking me for money has ever accepted 'no." They talk until you hang up. They were all English-speaking Americans.

Safeway deli was where this happened.
As for buying stuff, maybe it is my demeanor or attitude when handling things. I also know a lot of people in the areas that I deal with, and that makes things 100x easier when handling all that.

Thought: It's a lot harder to study without Cantr. I need the occasional excuse to look away from the textbook and Cantr is perfect for that. Helps me stay awake, too, since I sorta have this problem where textbooks make me fall asleep almost without fail. To that end, I spent today playing Oblivion and rereading the sixth Dresden book. With awesome habits like that, I have to wonder how I manage to maintain my GPA.
Rant: I got an 86 on my stats test and just put $300 toward new glasses that are many, many years overdue. So overdue that I'll likely be sick for days when I get them. *grumble*

TotD: Okay, this thought popped into my head yesterday....What if, on one of those pedophile-catching shows, the guy who shows up to meet the "15-year-old girl" isn't the 35 year old perv that he claimed to be in the chatroom, but actually is.. a horny 15yo boy, arriving by bus, who figured he could just meet girls easier that way? Would make one heck of an outtake, or something....

But there is no next post… (until I posted this, anyway).

My parents just came home from their trip to the USA and brought me a tombstone for my dog Dervish, that some of you know died suddenly from being hit by a car. I cried like a three year old. Love your parents people.

Re: Thought or Rant of the day!!!
I think I'm on the verge of a mid-life crisis. I look around and realize I'm starting to fall into a rut and I'm not entirely sure this (location, job or even career field) is where I want to be the rest of my life. Not that I can complain too much about the job or location... Just kind of scary to think ahead 20 years and see myself doing the exact same thing I'm doing now. It's a little depressing. But I can't pin down any one direction to send myself from here. Too many options and most of them require a good deal of "prep-time" like taking more college courses or other training.
