Re: Non-Cantr related dreams
I could've beaten my cat for waking me from my dream this morning. Something about a shooting range and I was trying out different bullets and some other odd stuff. But then I left the range, went to an empty clothing store in the mall and was making out with Reba McEntire.

1. DON'T BEAT YOUR KITTY! *grabs and holds the kitty protectively* Don't hurt the kitty.

2. That reminds me of a nightmare I had a few months ago (though it wasn't what normal people might consider nightmares).
You know my avatar the black cat? That's the real Snick. In real life, she's pretty fat (sixteen-and-a-half pounds). So in the dream, Snick was basically destined to die. There was some fat problem or disorder having to do with her liver and fat, and she was too ill to move. So a veterinarian came out, loved on her a little (petting and stuff like that), and gave her the first dose of uthenasia(sp?). After that I held her whle the lethal dose was given, and I remember the sensatio nof Snick's fur cooling and the shock of realising she was never going to come into my room purring ever again. I literally woke up crying, and when Snick came in, I headlocked her and sobbed some more into her fur.
BE NICE TO YOUR CAT(S). *nods*
I'm done now.

I wouldn't intentionally hurt any of my furkids. But that's soooo not cool of her to ruin my Reba dream.

Re: Non-Cantr related dreams
Lots of dreams last night of aliens coming and taking over our bodies. They brainwashed weak-willed people to do their bidding, helping to round up and massacre humans. I was watching one guy (I was disembodied) stacking nude, hacked corpses in a long hallway. He then went and approached this fat, retarded looking guy whose name I knew to be "Rabbit," his brother whom in normal life he loved dearly. He then stabbed him in the face with a machete.

Sounds like an R-rated version of the Invasion of Body Snatchers.

I was looking for something at home yesterday, but couldn't find it. Then I found it in my dream. I checked when I waked up and it was there where it was in my dream.

Re: Non-Cantr related dreams
Reminds me of a dream I had a few years ago. It was before I'd had my braces on. But anyways. I had braces in my dream, and I remember looking in the mirror and they were all messed up, with no wire, several brackets had fallen off, etc. So I was like, This can't be good.
A year and a half later, when I was vacationing in New Mexico and Colorado (both states in the relative west of the US, for all of you non-US-familiar people), my braces were giving me trouble (I'd had them on for approximately eleven months by that point). I'd pulled off a bracket that'd gotten caught in really bad spaghetti, and my wire had broken in several places, which I had eventually removed because they were tearing holes in the inside of my mouth. When I got home finally, the image was identical to that in my dream from a year-and-some months earlier.

Last night I dreamed I was cleaning out the garage, and there were masses of cobwebs all over the place. Too gross to clean out, so I decided to use a flame.... Yeah, about as dangerous in the dream world as it is in real life. Not a bright idea....

Re: Non-Cantr related dreams
Last night I was unable to sleep. I finally fell asleep at 3 am or so, and I had a beautiful dream, that becomes a nightmare when I awoke, because I realized it wasn't true... Then I fell asleep again, and I dreamt totally the opposite of what I have dreamt before.... But there was no relief in my awakening, only sadness and a strange sensation of loneliness...
That sensation still lasts...

Re: Non-Cantr related dreams
Aww... *hugs Indigo* Makes me think of this one time when I had a dream where my little brother was crying for help in the kitchen, he's already a grown man but he sounded younger in the dream. It felt so real that I woke up into it and had to get out of bed and go to the kitchen, and on the way there I was wondering what I would find even though I knew it had been a dream, I just wasn't quite sure, and my mom was there and I told her about it and she hugged me and said my brother is sleeping and he's alright. I must've had a pretty haunted expression. Then I had to go check on him and I watched him sleep for several seconds.

I fairly recently dreamt that I made up with Sanchez (before your time here, so you probably have no idea who I'm even talking about). So, I know exactly what you're talking about. It makes reality worse experiencing how things were/could have been. Emotion is so much more powerful than reason. There are some things in life that you'll never get over, that time will never heal, and it sucks to have your subconscious tear off the scabs completely unbidden.

The subconscious is a scary, scary place, and I don't mean in a nightmare inducing sense either (although it certainly has the capability) but in a "this is what you think/feel" general way. You can fool yourself while awake, but when you sleep...watch out!
