Hopefully this hasn't been mentioned already.
I think the topic title is self-explanatory....but just in case:
Wouldn't you just love it when you're on a long road that will never end....a vehicle drives by and offers you a ride? It would be wonderful if the people in a car could consent to let someone hop in their vehicle while on the road. Of course, it would have to be a one way thing. Maybe, perhaps, people in a vehicle can drag someone in from the road, but a person on the road can't just hop in?
Hitch-hiking?

Sounds like a good idea to me, but probably quite tricky to implement. Perhaps if you had to be stopped in order for it to work?

It also would be nice for catching thieves and such instead of having to putt along beside them when they are walking back. Surrender, get in and shut up or I put you out of your misery. What a time saver. Go Kelli!
Kidnapping was a reason that I don't really like this idea, as there is enough of that already. But if they are both stopped then yes, this would probably help prevent that... Unless you think the driver is trustworthy but isn't...
*locks the door* You're going for a ride now!
Hey hitchhiking is dangerous
