Project at 100.0%

Postby EchoMan » Mon Oct 26, 2009 2:40 pm

I searched but didn't find.

One of my chars had a project who was at 100.0% for an entire "tick cycle". That was annoying since I was going some place. :)

Shouldn't 100.0% result in thta the project is completed?

Edit: And it just now happened again, went from 66.7% to 100.0% and I have to wait a full cycle again. :P

If a project is meant to take 3 hours it shouldn't take 4 :)

It was most likely 99.9999999% so it rounds it up to 100%, however the game doesn't consider it finished until it reaches or exceeds 100%. You should make it a few grams smaller if it's a gathering project.

If you are just a little tired or wounded it might result in a three-hour-project becoming a four-hour-project. Those effects are not taken into account when the standard project duration is calculated. Instead of hitting 100%, you perhaps just reached 99,99%, just like Seko said.

I had think that the repair hours consists of the calculation of an average Person. One of my chars is awful in repairing tools, and it is normal to need 3 hours for a 2 hour projekt.

Oh yeah, this too of course. Even though your stats might appear avarage, it could be that they are actually subpar.

If you're efficient at repairing, it could be that you're just below average. If you keep working on it, eventually you'll gain enough skill points to clear it in three hours instead of 4.

Yeah that must be it then. He is efficient as a matter of fact, I thought he was skillful, but that was when he repaired a shield. In this case it was a tool. But anyway, a project that ends on 99.99999% in an update should be "pushed over the top" imho, because it's extremely annoying to watch it. :)
