Without wiki, I wouldn't play this game.

I agree with this idea, just because I can get around Wiki and play Cantr without it. Besides thinking about the RP possibilities is stunting... All the research, the libraries and universities, the "how to..." guides. It would be quite awesome, but I guess we are the sad ones because we need to throw down an information site for it to happen. Although RP should be the way, leaving the Wiki with only some information seems pretty fine to me. I think new players only need the how to create projects, heal them selves and all of that so that they don't get confused with the gaming code. I really don't think it's essential for them to know which weapon is best, how many resources they need to do it and how many projects you could do with a small fire pit.

Of course this would give us an heavier responsibility. The newspwans would want to know how some basic things were made and we would have to a lot more patient that some oldies are. I have no problem with it, though. I've found my self preferring a conversation with a newspwan with a lot of questions to an old guy who just wakes up to give me some projects.

And god help characters in future that start a project they didn't roleplay to learn how to do this in game. A whole new generation of CRB will be born if we deny characters to start with wiki-knowledge.

Seko I agree that the wiki should display information about the interface. Cantr can be very scary to new characters. Voltenion you are correct. It would be cool to have people writing how-to guides and setting up research facilities. Catpurr we're not the thought police here! Since there's no way anyone can stop characters from poor role-play trying to stop is a little futile.
