I'm around 570. I forget what day I signed up, it's been 4-5 days and I started at 601. My luck, I'll finally be born in 6 months and a sibling will eat me the first day or something.

I waited three or four months until I was born and lost interest in the game after one or two weeks. (What was actually not quite fair, the game deserved better than that.)

I've already lost intrest and I'm "this close" to birth in FTO. The shorter that number gets the less and less I care. You'd think it would be opposite.

BUT, I still intend to TRY and give FTO a working. I'm not holding my breath for anything like my Cantr characters though. Something simple and static is what I'm going with... unless my interest peaks. (Again... not holding my breath)

Well, the game is in fact quite good. It's just that I don't like playing children (and babies in particular) very much and that the pace of the game is faster than I'm used from Cantr. A week or so is enough to starve. (Or was at this time, I read something about auto-eating so that might not be a problem anymore.)

There are a lot of things in FTO I'm not looking forward to Piscator. I'm still unsure why I signed up. :?

It might have been Cantr down time and/or temporary brain flux.

If you can live with the fantasy setting, it's not that bad. The interface it at least much better than ours (in my opinion).

I read it as 'bored'.

Was already thinking;
"Bored ... Enjoying myself? Aren't those two quite the opposite?"

OK, I'm going to derail the FTO talk a moment to talk about Wurm Online. Do a lot of people here play that?

I tried a couple years ago and liked a lot of things about it, but the constant attention required killed it for me. I blame Cantr for ruining "grind" games for me. I dunno, something about having to sit there and click "mine>rock" every 5 secs.... I also recall planting something like 5 cotton seeds and getting only 1 seed in return after carefully tending the crop, which pissed me off.

Anyway, has much changed? Should I give it another try? Was I doing something wrong that made the game not enjoyable?

i think that, with the exception of the next 20 to be born, your place on the que should move up by 2 every day you log in to check your place.

so if i make an account and never look again, it just stays at the end, while people trying to play get to move up faster. And if everyone who really wants to play checks every day, then nothing changes except for getting the ones who dont care out of the way.. probably halving the time it takes to spawn.

This was already done once.

People had to verify their accounts.
