The eyes are actually looking more to the right than the left, so flipping it wouldn't do much.

And to me an avatar is more of a detached representation of the person posting than something connected to the text of the post, so it really depends on what looks best.

... I think this is the first time I've looked up an old(ish) thread... Weird.

Anyways, if any artistically inclined person is interested in making an avatar of a rambo Dill Pickle firing an AK-47, I'd be absolutely amazed, and would likely dance in the street.
