But consider this; would you like to be the ally or the enemy of a group of murderers? That's why everyone acts their friend.
Not really sure about this one, never had a character in the Krif-Djorf-Seatown region that wasn't a MacGregor.
And yes, I probably am a suck-up.

I'm probably biased (though in arguements I try not to be though it seems like I am because I agree with many of thier actions even though my MacGregor character questions them slightly).
Okay then, so you ask them to leave, and when they do so, you kill them? And having the ability to kill someone does not give the right to kill someone. I've led towns and organizations and still do. I know what it's like to be insulted. The idea of killing someone just for insult or disrespect is unimaginable. How could someone think of themselves so highly and value life so little that they would do something like that?
No, it's more like... (read from up to bottom)
*Bob insults them.*
"Leave, blah blah blah." - MacGregor
"Well, you stink anyway!" - Bob"
*Bob leaves*
"He disrespects us after we banish them for disrespecting?" - MacGregor
*MacGregors chase him down.*
They don't simply kill just cause they can. And MacGregors do value lives, just not the lives of thier enemies. They're not murderous fiends. They just don't take a lot to get fired up. And even then, there have been many that have done a lot worse than insult the Clan and still live. The reason they do that is because they want to hold to tradition.
Incorrect is all I can say about that.
During Josh's time, MacGregors weren't really violent... I'm talking about recent events. If they're threatening the lives of the MacGregors, they just go ahead and kill them. If they're doing whatever else, they're usually told to leave, put in jail for a while, or whatever. And then when they're spared from death they usually start getting rude about it and the MacGregors get annoyed and kills them.
Contradiction! Why do you think there are so many against the Macgregors? Trust me, there aren't usually that many people against a group unless there really is something wrong with them. It seems like the Macgregors never think for a second that people who criticize them are right, or that they really are too violent. They'll call themselves violent as if they're proud of it, but then say they aren't when they're accused of it, followed by them killing the person talking to them.
Of course I know why so many people are against them. It's cause of they kill off most of the people they spare that push them over the limit. And they are proud of being violent. That's why they call themselves warriors. And they really haven't been questioned by an actual person that
wasn't a thief or some criminal (and by criminal, I'm excluding the insult thing) so I'm not sure how they'll react if questioned by a friend. Mines would take that into regard, though I'm not sure how the rest of teh Clan would. And they don't kill just because they're called violent... Nick himself admits that he is and many of them would. If they're called crooks or whatever, they'll probably imprison or maybe kill the guy.
Not every character values life like you. If everyone were like your characters, there'd be very very little conflict in Cantr. And then Cantr would be boring.
Want justice? Lead a justice league.
And I agree with you.
And one more thing, there is no such thing as good, evil, justice in this world. It's all pretty much an illusion. Think of how morals were back centuries ago. I'm sure the MacGregor attitude would fit nicely in some places. Imagine how easily a world could be with murder an accepted practice (and it used to be that way to some extent).
