Someting like that would require changing the forum source code (unless an option already exists in the CP, but I don't think so)

that's a neat idea. I find them so annoying though.. especially if even I can't make out what the image code is. Seriously, some of them look like hieroglyphics :lol:

The image code is already required at registration. That means either there is some way that bots can get past it or some spam is done by hand.
