Ok, yeah.
Cantr is a lot less active than it was before I quit. A lot less characters as well. It's kinda sad.
Or maybe my characters just spawned in areas that have seen a large population drop.
Also.. I'm curious as to whether a few people play anymore.
Like... Psycho Pixie, Pirate Lass, Bran-Muffin, Chesierekat(sp?)
They're were quite interesting. I hope they didn't quit D=

I'm pretty sure Bran-Muffin still does. Ohh, and maybe back when you played, Cantr wasn't as large as it is now. There are alot more towns now, so people are more spread out. I'm pretty sure the population of players themselves has grown, especially considering we now have players from other countries.

Ehh in a very small town I'm in, I recently had two newspawns, two days in a row. It isn't completely bad.

Naw, I like it that way. One of my characters was lucky enough to spawn on a new (new-appearing) island. So she reckons herself special

If a town on an established island is small, it's probably that way for a good reason (like lack of food or a bad government). But on the newer islands, the towns never had a chance to grow. The people on such islands have their pick of the best locations.
As is life. How does one person reproduce by themselves? Don't answer that, lol. The more people, the more newspawns.
And there may be many newspawns coming in, but I don't know if it makes up for those leaving. 1 person leaves and 15 characters could go.

In raw numbers, yes, but not in percentages. Look at the birth rates in developed vs. developing countries (e.g., see this site, based on CIA World Factbook). Developed countries have low birth rates, often close to 0%. Developing countries have higher birth rates.
