Canadian and USA relations.
Do you think that the Canada and USA Relationship is strong or weak? This should be based on the political events of the past 5 years, and the history of the two countries.

Erm... almost every country is a protectorate of the U.S. foriegn policy apparatus, except for a few "rogue" states... that's like asking if relations between colonial India were strong with Britain in the 19th century...
I'm partially joking, but that's mostly true... especially on the military end.
(I don't like it, but that is the current state of affairs, its actually not so much the U.S. as a handful of multinational corporations that happen to mostly be based in the U.S., and American people and military are dragged into protect, what are essentially the foriegn interests of supranational corporations that are subject to very few laws, yet reap the benefits of their host countries, whether in the U.S., Latin America, Europe, or anywhere else in the globe)
Most of the world, in terms of the economy, is owned (and therefore controlled) by basically 10 corporations, many of which are allied themselvbes. They are almost like non-nation nations in terms of their size and influence.
Although, many Canadian businesses have started penetrating U.S. markets further than ever before though... especially in the field of construction contracting, but many are in turn owned by "the big ten", which I can't remember the list off the top of my head.

The Nation is a fairly Liberal publication, but these are facts laid bare here:

That is just the media aspect though...

Of the world's 100 largest economic entities, 51 are now corporations and 49 are countries:

Weak, mostly due to Conan O'Brien and umm that obnoxious hilarious dog. =D Connaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan O'Brieeeeeen. I remember the black out episode (the day after I got my power back it replayed) with the "Scrrrrrewwwwwwwww You canada!!" anthem they were playing. In the end Ido believe it was the U.S. who fracked up.
Edit: triumph the dog.

If Cananda is mad about a puppet dog who insults everyone then they need to lighten up
I love Canada, being that I live in Michigan I'm over there a lot. In Windsor you'll see a lot of Michigan licence plates and in Detroit and the surrounding areas you'll see a lot of Ontario lisence plates. I'm not sure how we stand politicaly, but on a personal level, we always seemed to get along.

Hey, the Canadians have mountie's...
Sir, in the camo clothing and the assaukt rifle aimed at me. Pleaso put it down or I shall warn you again. Sir..... shooting a mountie will be severely fined... That's 40 canadian dollars please... 80...120..160... Now look at what you're doing, you're littering the countryside with lead! Now you've crossed the line!
Mounty gets his pocket knife and in one motion cuts into the troopers chest, ripping his heart out...
Never piss of a mountie.
