Has this ever happened to you?

Warning: You may have a light case of epilepsy, they seem to all be similar symptoms

http://www.wrongdiagnosis.com/e/epilepsy/symptoms.htm

Convulsions (shaking up)
Muscle spasms (shaking up)
Strange sensations/emotions (being scared)

I'll come back with more later but it could be serious.. could you give a bit more detail?

Omfg.

I shake so bad that I have to go smoke a cigarette, and then when I'm down there smoking my cigarettes, I can't get it sucked down fast enough, my hands shaking even then. I'm always wondering if the people who see me, see the evidence on my face of my riled, nervous nerves acting up---If they can, if only they knew it was because of a silly game-omg!

I hardly have epilepsy....It's the adrenaline. "Shoot I can't mess this up or I'll die."

When my character got kidnapped, I felt like my stomach fell out onto the floor. When he executed his escape plan, my hands went numb. When the plan failed and it was my characters fault, I actually fell into depression knowing I'd just cost him his life, along with the lives of the other captives. I actually screamed and cursed at the screen. And this wasn't even a character that I was particularly fond of. His captivity had me so emotionally distraught throughout its duration, his death was a great relief.

Maybe we were in the same cell. I think there was about 12-14 in there at the peak of it all.

Don't you just hate situations where it is just like, 0% survival rate. 0% chance of escape. You Lose.

I've had a few of those situtations, but it only pissed me off once.

On the subject of getting emotionally involved with my chars; i'm fairly attached to my two oldest, one of them i can't honestly say that i play. It feels like they're playing me as i never really know what they're going to say/do until they've done it. But perhaps that says more about my mental state rather than my roleplaying skills. :P

I'd have to agree, never give up hope and very odd things happen in Cantr, they have a tongue and sure as hell use it to try to weasal out of things. It's amazing what you can get people to listen to when yours start yapping. :D

Unless of course yours is way, way, locked in many deep rooms with hit and run stabbers taking yours to their death without even breaking into a sweat while hitting. I just hate that myself.*frowns swinging the old sabre* You will die you ****er..That is much more appreciated in roleplay death then the boring, You are hacked to death by mute killers that have no facial expressions, you can't even tell if they are enjoying the slaying or crapping themselves in the task. Especially when killing older characters that have been played for a few years, is it really to much to ask for a foul look at least.?

No one can make you feel inferior without your consent and Being happy doesn't mean everything is perfect. It means you have decided to look beyond the imperfections.

We had a very descriptive "thing" (I won't say if it was a battle, murder, attack, etc.) chock full of well known players and an intensive storyline. :P The drama!

No such thing.

"Step out of the building with your hands up, do not harm the prisoner or we will camp out here waiting for you!"... ie an army coming to save a prisoner inside.

Ah but there is such a thing. I've spoken about the event before on another topic where one of my chars worked for an organisation called 'the mountain hawks'. He was a good person, was on his way to errr somewhere (i forget where) for a reason that also slips my mind. Anyway, when he got there he was arrested because he was a hawk, and the town had something against the organisation for events that had occurred which had nothing to do with my char.
He was locked up and over the course of a couple of days was murdered. There was a 0% chance of survival as the chars involved didn't like his organisation, 0% of rescue as he'd been involved in an exchange of blows with other mountain hawks over the protection of a girl, and 0% chance of escape as he had no lock-breaking tools and one of the attackers was a crappy roleplayer doing the old 'enter-hit-leave' thing.

I'm sure mine is not the only char to have been in this kind of situation, where there is no hope in the slightest.

It's pretty suicidal if you join an organization and then go alone to a region that has declared a war on said organization because they had attacked the town's resource runner. I think you just picked the wrong camp. I would imagine switching sides might have saved him. At least if he had offered to give them information about who sent him might have kept him alive a bit longer. If I would've been there then I would've kept him alive for questioning but some people are better in hitting than using prisoners to their advantage.
