Waster damage?

Postby Racetyme » Wed Apr 11, 2007 2:21 pm

This is the second time this has happened to my character. Whats going on? The other time he didn't have a shield.
1862-7.27: *Name Deleted* expertly hurts you using a waster. You lose 1 percent strength. Your shield was ineffective against the blow.

Someone attacked you with a waster, you didn't manage to block it, and you took a point of damage.

You can't expect battle training to be 100% safe, ever. 1% is still tolerable compared to the 5% one of my characters does with a bare fist. And wasn't it set to hit:1 instead of hit:0?

I think it was to hit:1 instead of hit:5. Your explanation was spot on.

Ok, so as long as I don't brick with my shield, I should be safe?

I think it is always safe to assume that you are safe from being bludgeoned to death with a waster.

Actually, I got my ass beat by an animal. I had to call off the training because I keep getting hurt even with a shield...

How about pillows? Do they cause any damage at all, and can pillow fights improve your skill?

Pillows do less damage than a fist. It is possble to be hurt but unlikely. And your fighting skill and strength are trained the same way by them. This is their purpose, beyond RP. :)

You can do that, but it might take a very, very long time.
