Half of the suicidal spawnlings could be because of the Nazi gov't then end up near. I have had 3 characters spawn in the Lad. region. 2 of them were killed for just leaving town. I thought it was dumb. I spawned, stated my name and farmed some food for a day then took off. Next thing I know I have like 3 guards chasing my ass telling me to return. WTF?! The 3rd guy I had become apart of the empire there in a way. I had him do resource runs for wood I believe. Everything was smooth getting to the forest and gathering the wood. Then right as I get into the first place on my return back I find myself struck twice with sabres then thrown into an outpost where I was told to empty my inventory and drop a note stating my name. I did so and then the next morning I found he was killed. Its a pain in the ass trying to play a character somewhere like that. Hell...I won't stand for that crap anymore. If I get a character there I just steal something and book it hoping to get killed. I don't wanna ruin a character slot for someone there. It takes a lot of the fun outta the game...Ah listen to me ramble on and on...I'm done.

Again...I stated this many times before in a indirect way. ITS KINDA hard to fit in somewhere ....when you can't stay alive for more than a day with out being slaughtered!!!!!!!

I wont go near lad. People on the game council say you shouldnt make your chars leave from places because you as a person don't like the place, but its kinda hard NOT to want to leave a place like Lad. Its impossible for me to like a place like that, and hence ..hard to make a character that likes the place! I've been playing for how long now? And I still haven't managed to get a char through naron/lad area with out it being killed eventually!!! Well...except for lola vash..but even SHE was struck by the guards in Naron- and fled for her life. It's ridiculous! *Shrug* Nothing against people who like the place, but there is no possible way i can like the place.

My first time through Naron was a quick one. My guy had enough food for three days worth of wood getting. I hadn't heard of Naron by the way. Anywho, I get to the forest and look at the objects. All I see are bodies. Someone asks me my name, and if I don;t tell them quick, I'll be on the ground as well. I weight my possibilities. I look to location... the desert, the way I came, or another forest. I made my guy go to the desert. He eventually starved to death. lol he just wouldn't stop running into mountain regions. Places I had never heard of before. They are a bit strict, but as said it works.

Sure, it works. If you want to be pre-WWII Nazi Germany...

Who the hell runs that empire anyway? :P

I admit that it is a pretty vile place, but I think it is actually quite bad rping to get your charcters killed off like that just because you don't like the place. Especially if you make shure they get killed by stealing stuff and running...thats is very annoying and not very realistic.

There probably is a reason why the spawning is random and seeing that the characters are 20 years old they would have grown up in that place.

Getting yourselves killed is just worsening the problem, less people with humane ideas and more dead bodies...

See it as a challange, try to reform the government (yeah, you'll probably end up dead but hey...at least it is a good way of killing them off), try leaving without stealing stuff (that's not as suicidal) or play the characters as evil/ambitious.

My first few characters were all spawned in Lad, and while I hated it at first (especially as they killed my very first character), now I have a 3 very active charactes in Lad and it's quite fun. It isn't hard not to get killed-state your name and don't take anything and you should be fine. Naron is even easier-as long as you don't steal anything and you don't head toward the forest, you are okay.

I will agree with all of you that Lad/Naron is a difficult place to play...hell, my first char in that area was killed also...but that's the whole point...the empire doesn't want people who won't do what they are told, or argues with them...just like any other place events took a specific turn in Lad...as to Lad's success well...I don't know of any other place that has keep a continuous gov for the same amount of time...the Empire has been in existance since 225 that I know of, and the gov was well established when I started playing cantr, if it was as flawed as some people like to think then it wouldn't have that track record.

I don't think it's flawed, and i don't think its wrong for Lad to be like they are.
I just don't like it. LOL
Of course they can....kill people like they do. It's part of the game. :P

I have noticed that the racoons are multiplying by the hundreds. Too bad you can only kill one a day.

Anyways, I agree these suicidal characters are bad role playing. I think that is why a lot of areas have begun to lock people up instead of killing them right off the bat. That way one is not giving what the other player wants to have. Instead of there character ending up dead they end up in a locked room. I only know of a few places that can lock people up so some areas still have to deal with these players by either killing them or ignoring them but it is kinda hard to ignore a character that keeps hitting everyone every day.
