For realism, no. If there's no women there, go where they are! If you could do this because "it's (just) a game", then anything goes. Might as well be able to reproduce asexually, like amoeba or whatever does that, but it destroys the whole point of simulation if not enough is realistic.

Not having read much into this topic but I don't think sex in cantr is to good an idea... maybe be able to open and close your charactor as a possible spawning point. meaning one male and one female have to have an open spawn point for new spawns to come into existance there.. More people in a location with open spawn points meaning more spawn towards that location. From there you can simply imagine weather the next spawn or not came from your open point or another...
