I know some Chinese so I may join that region, I love learning Chinese.

John, is the Chinese in that region traditional or simplified? (which one is the majority if its mixed?)

Aldwitch, you are more than welcome.... :D

The translation are done in simplified characters.... however, so far, the thinking is the conversation may be done in both, since there are still many people who only knows the traditional characters...

in fact, I only started to learned the simplified characters when I started the translation a few months back, and found it's not too difficult... at least I hope that is the case.... :P

Actually, in other language servers, I find it a little annoying when someone speaks in Spanish and *acts* in English.

Well yea, I'm from canada so I learn my chineses characters in traditional form, but the people from china are learning in simplified, so If I go there I'm pretty much screwed for the most part. And also, apparently the government wants Hong Kong to change to simplified in 2008 so traditional would be pretty much pointless to learn unless your going to translate old text, so yea all these years of learning traditional and to find that Hong Kong may change to simplified really pisses me off. But yea, means I'll have to learn simplified.

EDIT: wow the list is getting Looooong

oh no, all those years for nothing.

I wonder how no one caught that one :o

Torkess, make sure you pick the proper character to do that, since the 40 days waiting period for character that died while under age of 25 is now in effect....

Yea, too bad I didn't plan one earlier.... Oh well, I don't think any of my charries will be dying anytime soon...I just made one of my charries a skitz, with an evil side and a good side

okay then...

I found out simplify was only because many people in China were illiterate and so the Communists(共产党 thought it would be easier for the people to learn it, im not sure it this is true but i heard someone say it : )

and also
"Tai" in Taiwan: traditional 臺 simplified 台
I always though the simplified was the traditional one : o
