----------------------

Also, I'd like to add that Chinese is the umbrella term for all the dialects spoken by ethnic Chinese like me :). All Chinese dialects sound different from each other to varying degrees, but are written the same way. So technically, Chinese is not a language, but a family of spoken dialects.

Plus- the Chinese written language has a traditional and simplified form. The simplified form consists of the same words from the traditional form, but they are just simpler and easier to write. However people who write in one form may not be able to understand the other. Hence it would be great if you could distinguish Chinese (Simplified) from Chinese (Traditional).

Also, I suggest changing 'Chinese (Trad Writing)' to 'Chinese (Traditional)' as that is the more popular term for the older version of the Chinese script.

I think this sounds confusing ^_^" Thanks anyway!

---------------------
Well yea, I'm from canada so I learn my chineses characters in traditional form, but the people from china are learning in simplified, so If I go there I'm pretty much screwed for the most part. And also, apparently the government wants Hong Kong to change to simplified in 2008 so traditional would be pretty much pointless to learn unless your going to translate old text, so yea all these years of learning traditional and to find that Hong Kong may change to simplified really pisses me off. But yea, means I'll have to learn simplified.

EDIT: wow the list is getting Looooong
