#1 favorite band: Phish
They have an incredible depth to their music.
And I love some good improvisational jazz/funk jamming.
Therefore I also enjoy:
String Cheese Incident
Particle
Widespread Panic
moe.
Vinyl
And other good listening:
>Pink Floyd (big fan)
>DMB
>Paul Simon
>REM
>Neil Young
>Counting Crows
>John Prine
>Jimi Hendrix
>Reverend Horton Heat
>NOFX
>Jimmy Buffett
>Primus
... and many more that I'm forgetting

Yay Missy... I also rate Sarah McLachlan.
In the arms of the Angels.. she has the most angelic voice.
But the dance mix by DJTiesto just rocks of her Delerium- Silence. and sweet surrender.
Lio- Rapture
James blunt.
Gorrilaz
Coldplay -fix you or green eyes
Chicane
Faithless
Atb
Above and beyond - most mix's
Armin Van Buuren excellent dj
Dido
Tito and the Tarantulas - Carachas Anjodas.
Aerosmith
Queen
Nirvana
And many many more but far too many to mention.

No one can make you feel inferior without your consent and Being happy doesn't mean everything is perfect. It means you have decided to look beyond the imperfections.

Jack, I got to see Trey Anastasio live at Higher Ground in Vermont a few years back...only one word can summarize it...amazing....And coventry, I have a bunch of friends who saw Phish at Coventrey, they said it was mindblowing.
As far as my music tastes go, it really varies. most of the bands I like no one here would ever know of...considering that they are israeli, but as far as big names.:
Depeche Mode
Panic! at the disco (great music, you all should download some)
OAR (saw them live....amazing)
Lifehouse(saw them live too
The Shins
Matisyahu (I don't know, but I just really like some of his music)
Flogging Molly
Gorillaz
Offspring
Zox
Those are all I can remember, maybe more will come to me later...
I really recommend the band Zox, they are a smalltime band from Rhode Island. It is really hard to classify them, in their first album they were very much a jamband, but now they are becoming less of a jamband and more of a reggae-style violin-rock band.
http://www.zoxband.com is their website, listen to them before you make judgement calls.

I've seen Trey a few times with different bands. Oysterhead was a sweet show... Trey, Les Claypool, and Stewart Copeland of the Police. It's an interesting trio, and I'd reccomend anyone check it out.
He is a phenomenal performer, and always puts on a good show. Been to probably a dozen Phish shows, including 1999-2000 new years party in Big Cypress, Florida. Also saw a couple shows in the local movie theater!
My wife and I went to Vegoose in Las Vegas, NV this past Halloween. Many good bands played. The ones I enjoyed most:
>Trey Anastasio (of course)
>Beck
>Primus
>The Arcade Fire
>Widespread Panic
>String Cheese Incident
>Slightly Stoopid
>Dave and Friends
>Ween
>Phil Lesh & Friends
Anyway, the coolest place I've seen Trey was in the Fillmore in Denver. He performed with his ten-piece band. Simply astonishing!
