obesity

Postby deadboy » Sun Feb 05, 2006 12:21 pm

how about this one...
ok so at the start of your life you are thin, but if you eat too much healin g food, and meats, you become slowly fatter, you also slowly gain weight by not doing anything, you can lose weight by travelling or eating healthy food such as potatoes. The effects of becoming fat would be that you travel slower and can carry less... what do you think?

If you add this, you have to also add muscular, and old. With muscular, the more meat with exersise you do, the better, with old, the older you are, the older you look and of course how helthy is in there somewere.. but i don't know were.

Most healing foods are fruits and vegetables, which would effectively make you healthier. While potatoes in fact are not as nutrient Western people think. Meat and eggs, ice cream, white bread, sugar, things like that make you fat. While veggies, berries, mushrooms and fish are healthy. But before we could make a system where a multi-food diet is needed, I would like to see "healing foods" becoming edible even when you are not wounded, they would affect healing rate rather than bring instaneous healing, your stomach capacity and tolerance to a single kind of food is limited, thus you couldn't eat kilos upon kilos of onions without vomiting... Yeah and natural healing needs to come back.

Rather than healing and daily food, we would have energy food to fill you up and healthy food to give you the building blocks for keeping your body functioning. Mostly carbonhydrates which you get from rice and other grain, potatoes, carrots, other basic (daily) food. Protein, for which we might need to add beans, including soy, though most people will likely get their needs filled with meat, fish and eggs. Fat the body can create from carbs but you also get it from meat, oils, whole milk... Then vitamins and minerals which you get from fruits and vegetables. On some regions it might be needed to eat grass... Did you know by the way that lions and other predators first eat the intestines of the herbivore animal they kill, so to get the half-digested veggie stuff inside?

Our current objective is to encourage prepared food over raw foods. Therefore the suggestion as you propose, would be counter productive to these efforts. Because of that, this suggestion is unlikely to be implemented until such a time as it is rewritten, or the objectives of the RD changes.

You can RP your fat can't you.

1441-9 you say: * He turns to face the new arrival, his giant belly follows after a slight delay and jiggles back and forth for a few seconds after he stops turning* Welcome, I am commander of the city guard. You had better watch yourself here in town, I really don't want to chase you down any of these roads. *He shifts his ginormous mass back to the shield he was repairing.*

Then just travel all roads at 30% and wheeze a lot.

I think that some foods should make the cantr characters feel better about themselves, thus making them more likely to do a good job (be it fighting or collecting resources).

Indeed, you sure feel better after a multi-course meal rather than eating raw potatoes day after day.

Potatoes are Carbohydrate, the effect of eating too much does eventually cause weight gain.

Carbs also make you quite drowsy. That is the "big meal sleepy feeling" effect of BK.
