slight change to earring description please

Postby formerly known as hf » Thu Aug 11, 2005 4:32 pm

Some of the earrings talk about a piercing - but my jeweler's not certified to pierce ears:

1225-1: You see a man in his thirties attack a woman in her twenties with a bone needle

1225-1: a woman in her twenties says "Ow *winces* that hurt"

...
...

1235-1: you see a woman in her twenties die from a blood infection

Could the description change slightly to gloss over how they fit to the ears - I much prefer the possibility of making 'clip on earrings' for those customers who are a bit squeamish...

Doesn't making them clip earrings require a little spring and hinges? That's terribly hightech for Cantrians. Just suffer you wuzzies or go without earrings! Or maybe they could implement earrings that come with a yarn loop around the ear. I don't have my ears pierced in real life but some of my characters have stuck bones through their earlobes and I'm very proud of them.

Err... Cars are operated by Cantarian feet, then, like on the Flintstones?

Ah, but are there any springs in there? Hinges I suppose for the doors...

The needle is used in the construction of earrings to represent its use for piercing the ears. Not necessarily the most realistic way but the only way open to us at the time. Would you rather have to have a bone needle in your inv to wear earrings? Just assume anyone with earrings either pierced themselves or was pierced by the maker of the earrings, rp it if you wish, or not.

this was a serious suggestion... *shrugs* I guess I'm a sucker for detail when it comes to jewlery and clothes :)
