Out of all the songs the Colonel has played, I've only had a problem with two of them. "Let's Talk About Sex", that song is so old and overused, I just don't want to hear it anymore :P - And some Evanscance or something song. It was really slow and soft, and it sucked. Playschool music was better than the latter.

Anyway, the point is, I don't request music, because I have no problem with what is played. You guys shouldn't be so picky. What you WANT to listen to, is me and my antics. Screw the music, tune it out, but you want to hear me :) SAY IT!

That's my view...

But I don't mind what's played really... I prefer the rock, but I'll take whatever.

Especially if there's a live show... :D

But he used it so appropriately! There is an awful lot of conversation going on between a man in in his twenties and a woman in her twenties.

I will play anything on Colonels Station. And if you have tuned in you will know that I am not stretching the truth on that one. LOL

I will see what I can find for you and I have just found out that I can get others to be DJs on Colonels Station, so, if you would like to be a DJ with an hour spot or half n hour spot please let me know. Of course the music would have to be very tame but it would be your show. Let me know if you are interested. I will try to figure out how it works. LOL

So, with that said, I am sure that Anthony will want to bring out a live show. Now that would be very entertaining. I would tune in to hear that show.

Email me, private message me or tell me right here if you are interested in being a Colonels Station DJ.

Thank you for listening to Colonels Station: Play Cantr II

Oh and as for ska songs :?: You are going to have to help me out on that one. I don't know to much about that kind of music, so tell me some groups and good songs and I will try to get them. I tried today and failed miserably. ha ha ha. And here I thought a ska cover of Ice Ice Baby would be cool.

I will list off a few ska groups, some of which are better then others (and some perhaps more punk then ska, but no one can keep them apart).

Less Than Jake
Sublime
Reel Big Fish
Operation Ivy
Save Ferris
Five Iron Frenzy

There are plenty of other great ska bands out there, but these should give you a good coverage of (modern) ska.

Well I just played one and had to drive 500 miles to bury the record after I heard something in it. Grrr. LOL. That was my own fault, I should have listened to it first. LOL

Sorry everyone.
That song is now gone and will not be coming back. lol.

Sorry, I should have also mentioned that some of the songs contain some profanity or questionable content (at least for this station).

Just be glad that didn't play "Date Rape" by Sublime (possibly their most famous song). Your eyes would have been bigger then your head as you tried to take the dong off of the air.

LOL, Thank you. I really didn't think I would get that many listeners so it is really going good and it can only get better. Anthony is the real comedy though, if it was not for him you would not be laughing so hard.

I will see if I can arrange some time for a DJ slot if I have the hardware....doubt I could swing it soon though. I heard Seko today and it made me giggle! Maybe I'll record some daft snippets so ya'll can be mesmerized by the force that is Wichita!!

And you defintiely need to look for "Canada" by Five Iron Frenzy! That would be perfect. Two big thumbs up for the Less Than Jake today! Very cool!
