Sorry if you've already mentioned this somewhere. How does/will resource gathering work?

I am overly excited. I am getting into the habit of checking the reveri,es home page even though I know that there isn't going to be anything. Every time I log out of cantr, I start a ty-ty-typing the URL into the address bar.

Sumbum: I don't believe I have mentioned it yet. You simply set to gathering something and issue a stop command when you which to do something else (or are exhausted, whichever comes first). Gathering things has an effect on the world, though, and could be dangerous in some instances.
Dear FiziKx, you aren't the only one. I even had one person refreshing the page once a second. Although they are likely to get null routed.

So you mean we could gather all the wood from a hill side and then when the rains come get flooded by mud?
Now /that/ would be cool!

You can exhaust resources, but I hadn't considered that effect yet. There has been a suggestion to adjust the climate of biomes that are completely deforested. I'll wait and see.

Like, If you leave trees for wood and etc. there, without gathering them, will they replenish normally or what?

Yeah, as long as there is some vegetation of that type left, it will regrow.
Copypasta from FTO forums:
chase wrote:Vegetation grows and decays - and can become completely depleted (which currently has no effect on climate). Some vegetation does also attempt to spread. The idea being that the world will attempt to keep itself in balance, but character actions on the world could lead to great imbalance.

It's biome, not biodome.

lol opps sorry, I was excited at the idea of sci-fi style bio-domes with airlocks which help support life when the climate outside is bad lol. I never even heard of a movie, I was playing a game with em in lol
Anyway.... yeah putting aside my stupidity (I blame my eye sight, I read words as other words which are similar or words that are close by that word) What is the technology level like?
