Lumin's working on implementing boats, I imagine something like an oxcart will be implemented in the future.

Oh, didn't know, then again, my first char has high heat resistance due to race, and my other is in a place that gets temperate at best.

You'll wish this were still true when he implements the 'Rule of Threes'

Death after:
3 minutes without air
3 hours without shelter
3 days without water
3 weeks without food

hmm, makes me wonder, what is the limit as far as food and water go? I might as well figure it out while I'm unborn, 'cus I don't want to go back to the end of the line -_-

My siblings are dropping like flies, cuz they never woke up and are now starving to death. *shakes head* And the 3 hours w.o shelter thing is bogus unless it's tundra or equatorial weather.

I think my second youngest child in FTO may have in fact died due to weather effects. He came out and died a few hours later but we never understood what happened. I think he was only wearing a diaper if anything. I think it's pretty silly that a person can die in less than a day without others getting any indication of him suffering. It should post an event that says X is shivering, or X is sweating and red-faced. Also they should make it possible to carry kids inside, since even if you did notice a child was going to freeze to death, you could do nothing if the player doesn't log in and move them.

My character in FTO actually prefers to be naked.

So... Does this mean I am effectively killing him?

Commando is for the loosers.

And death by weather, except on tundra, artic or desertic regions is lame. There were 100 million people in America living bare naked or almost naked under the reign of the 16th century fashion) came to end with the party.

Boyah. And I'm still waiting in the line.

He acts a bit like them too.

Yea, the 'without shelter' applies to 'extreme exposure,' (i.e fatal hypothermia/hyperthermia inducing conditions) and includes clothing as the first level of shelter.

Again, it's just a rule of thumb, and allows a margin for error. But it would be a jerk move to include it in FTO...

From what I can tell it is ALREADY included in FTO... only a RL day is fast enough IN A GAME.

Whoa, wait.

So what are the rules in FTO concerning
water;
food;
shelter(exposure)?

Anything else I should know concerning FTO time to RL?

One 'real life' (as some call this strange plain of existance) hour equals one FTO day.

BUT that's just for the time being, as he did open beta too soon and the queue got stacked. Tis why pregnancy times are sped up too.
