Re: Faery Tale Online (FTO)
I played for a long while but with all the ooc bs and the backbiting and bitching bakc and forth oocly and the constant ooc coordination of all events and the ooc forcing of you to play a certain way by certain power players in the game.....has made it so not worth it. I have quit fto completely and will stick to Cantr where it's monitored much better.

played it? Nothing go's on ever. Its dead and gone. Imagine the worst thing in cantr with newspawns with being made kinda like slaves and treated like crap..rare but it happens..to every time in FTO but your a baby and if your not on every single say you get killed. And I have had 27 characters so its not like it was once in a blue moon.

Re: Faery Tale Online (FTO)
I still play FTO and honestly as long as you stay out of the ooc crap that goes on.. and you stay away from the IRC then its not so bad. Each colony has rules and customs. If you dont' try to change said customs and rules, then things are alright. Another thing would be.. if you're a child you should act like one. Biggest thing I have had an issue with is children making armor and such, basically not acting their age. I used to be in the IRC and all that drama that was mentioned before, and when I got out of it, I found that I enjoyed the game more. Of course, I play cantr a whole lot more then I do FTO. Its monitored better and well, more enjoyable then FTO.

I quit after the only male of our race got too old to breed. It was sad to know there could be no new purebred pups. There should be some mechanisms in place to ensure races won't go extinct too easily. There was the mating request bug and then the "feature" that all races went infertile in the same age. Those have since been fixed but it was too late for my race. They're probably extinct by now.

Okay, so I'm just a few steps away from being born. Let's see how long I can survive...

Re: Faery Tale Online (FTO)
I actually found Cantr through playing FTO. (Not sure how I stumbled into FTO before ever stumbling across Cantr...but regardless, I did.) After 10 days of playing Cantr, I decided I enjoyed it far more than FTO and killed off my FTO character. FTO is OK and the people I RPed with were friendly, but the game as a whole is nowhere near as fun, deep, or complex as Cantr, and the community is nowhere near as active. Sure - Cantr isn't that realistic, but neither is FTO - even though it sort of attempts to be more realistic with the whole birth/RP as a child thing.
Also - I never really participated in the FTO IRC. I jumped in a few times, and no one was ever on.

FTO.... suuuuuch an annoying player base, and so stuck in their ways (only the majority that I've experienced, I can hardly speak for all FTO players) . I keep two characters for the heck of it, but I learned long ago to just play along and not do anything that might be considered troubling the waters. Nobody has ever gotten as nasty with me OOC on Cantr as some did in FTO.
Glad to have you with us, Hyrle.

Mine is 3 years now and had the luck to be born to a good family with active siblings and good parents.

Sooo...
I just really felt like playig FTO again, like in the good old days, so I made an account (couldn't find my old one), got into the queue (131, see you in a year) and then came here to ask how is the game doing.
Oh my.
So it's been only getting worse? It's such a shame, I really loved the concept of the fantasy world with all those races. So many possibilities (and such long queues
).
Although I still hate the interface. It makes me feel blind as a mole, and I need to use enlarging and even visual support tools to use it in any way near comfortably. YAY CANTR!
