The original PS3 copy didn't have the bug or so I have read as I haven't experienced it yet while playing the PS3 version. Pretty much with the game of the year edition once you became a vampire you couldn't cure it. Price wise you pretty much get the expansion Shivering Island for free if you buy the game of the year edition whereas you have to plop down $30 to purchase the expansion separately for the original version on the PS3.

I got the GotY edition of Oblivion about a month ago, my necromancer friend. :D Still level one - on purpose - and kicking ass.

I just finished the campaign mode in Might & Magic Clash of Heroes. The graphics and overall feel reflect the Nintendo DS origins, but the gameplay is excellent. It's a nice combination of turn-based RPG and puzzle games. It's definitely worth a look (once PSN recovers from being hacked.)

Besides games, I use the PS3 a lot for streaming Netflix movies/TV and playing music. Yeah, I know the music interface (both the built-in one and Nullriver MediaLink) and using TV speakers leave a lot to be desired, but it's the most convenient setup I have at the moment.

I use my PS3 mainly for gaming although I have used it for streaming and such but I prefer my Roku which does a better job.

If you like Oblivion then check out Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas which are very similar. Think Oblivion with guns and taking place in a post apocalyptic and alternate America. It might chew up the time before Skyrim comes out if anything.

Fallout 3 looks cool, but I read that freezing is a serious problem that gets worse as one advances (something to do with save file size).

I got CoD4: Modern Warfare last week. Love it! I suck at shooter games, but it is very forgiving. The sticking points tend to require mental adjustments (e.g., pick a different route) as opposed to pure twitch reflex. The squad does a lot of the work to keep things moving.

I just ordered inFamous (the first one). The Metacritic reviews and gameplay videos looked too good not to get.

I played through Fallout 3 with minimal problems. It uses the oblivion engine, which tends to be the main problem. However awesome the Elderscolls series is, their engine is prone to crashing.

Also, "The Pit" expansion is based 10 minutes from where i live.

If Fallout 3 is no worse than Oblivion in crashing, I could live with it.

I am currently enjoying inFAMOUS (first one), Dead Nation, Duels of the Planeswalkers (original), and Fritz Chess (had to pay full price for an import). I recently bought Cohort Chess, PS3 mini version, and don't recommend it.

I'm playing through Star Ocean: The Last Hope International. I played it on XBOX 360 for about 6 hours, until I reached this one character. The character was so annoying and the voice acting was so bad, that I actually took the game out of the console and sent it back to GameFly (Like netflix for video games).

The PS3 version allows you to set the language to the default Japanese voices. This made the game way better, even though the subtitles still have the same annoying text. At least I didn't have to hear it.

I have been playing the NCAA Football 12 demo and really enjoying it. I am not going to pay $60 for a new game, but I would like to get a football game from last year. Any thoughts about NCAA Football 11 vs. Madden NFL 11?

I have also been playing Bomberman Ultra. A lot of fun for such a simple game!

I am currently enjoying Madden NFL 11, Saints Row 2, and Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2.

Anyone else have PS3 game recommendations?

My ID is ricfns, if you guys want to play a lot of online races through F1 2011 or a good game of Modern Warfare 3, you could always hit me up.

Though I am not sure if it really beats xbox in all modules. I just love the kinect as well and really helps set my mood for the day, though that is probably because I am more inclined to playing with real motion and sensors.

Finished recently: Mass Effect 2 (best game ever!)

Playing now: Infamous 2, Arkham Asylum

On my to-buy list: Uncharted 2 & 3, Portal 2, Saints Row: The Third, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, Final Fantasy XIII-2, Mass Effect 3

I wish I could put Skyrim on my to-buy list, but I have serious doubts that the PS3 version will ever be patched enough. I'm so glad that I've taken the late adopter approach to buying games, so I'm not taken in by the hype surrounding the release.

Me and my friend own a PS3 and we "race" each other who has the highest level of account. When somebody has a new game and finishes it we trade with eachother, so we can both have more fun. Currrently I borrowed Mortal Kombat.
