CR Question

I need to know something about the capital rule, and I'd prefer the staff's opinion (Sorry guys! thanks). I will be very general, and very vague, and very third-person and unbias about this.

Someone somewhere knocks, under 16 times. That is alright according to the CR and general player opinion. This person is in a prison. He wrote a note that said he was looking at an empty space, and that empty space was going to have chalk written on it, marking out projects but actually having a name on them.

IE He was going to start several projects for extension rooms. But he RP'ed it. Prison Warden came in and told him off with the OOC: at the start of his sentence. He threatened him OOCly that he as a player would be banned by staff and the buildings removed.

Hence.
Two questions.

a) Is the creation of the 5 or 6 extension rooms a CRB, as it is RP'ed and has IG meaning (not like, LOOSER, NOOB, OMG THIS GUY KILLED ME, etc) ??

b) Is that a CRB by him influencing my character OOCly NOT to build those extensions? Or just bad RP? (as he entered, said that, and left)

Thanks guys, 8)

Well I'm not staff but this is a pretty easy one to answer.

It is not a CRB if it had in game meaning, and he didn't add any materials to the projects, as they can just be cancelled a few days later, if he added like 1g of stone then yes, it is a CRB.

And telling him off OOCly is not a CRB, it's just somebody trying to tell him the CR. Misinterpreting it perhaps, but still just innocently trying to teach him the CR

1) There is no such thing as chalk in Cantr.
2) You never stated if these rooms have had material added to them...if not ... the problem can be cured IG and needs no intervention. If the person added, as said, 1g of stone to each, but rooms have appropriate , not rude names..I still do not see the need for intervention, (this happened to me.. some one came inside, started a mudhut, named it mudhut, added a small amount of mud. This project is still there.) It is just.. IMO .. poor RP by twisting the CR and RPing to create the extensions.
3) In my opionion, that use of OOC is not appropriate.. though there is nothing to do about it unless it continues and/or becomes offensive.

I am CD and have no control over any of it anyway...

Sunni is right about points 2 and 3

There are also plans to allow cancellation of started projects so even the projects with small amounts of resources added will eventually be removal in game.

(With regard point 1 - Chalk is a particular type of Limestone so technically it may be available in Cantr ;) )

We also don't mind for someone to give a friendly private OOC reminder that what they feel they are doing is wrong but not a threat of a ban. This will disrupt roleplay between those two characters.

Thanking you very much guys. I'll clarify some questions asked:
I know there's no chalk, but I didn't actually say that in-game, I think I said 'I'll mark it out' rather than 'I'll chalk it out'.
Second, the messages are not rude :P They're like messages you find in dungeons, that's what I would have loved to have RP'ed some day: it was like, 'You've found your doom here,' and 'This is the end of the road,' etc. (note that's generally what was written, not what is there cause that kinda breaks the four day rule, and you guys have the enjoyment of finding it yourself!!)
Otherwise, like I said above, thankyou staff and non-staff for clarifiying this, I found that him threatening that I have a chance of getting a ban, without saying anything in-game when he talked to me, really put me off 'etching' those words into his hime, but it's cleared up now.
The character is almost dead, but you can imagine in real life someone using wood and stone to mark out projects on the ground that say 'This man is bloodthirsty' etc!! :D Should be a lot of fun for his workers next week!

Just to make a statement from the "Warden" :D point of view. I am pretty sure that this falls under the term used as sabotage, as the projects were never intended to be finished. How could they, the man trapped there was going to die in a few days and didn't have enough resources to build them all. 200 grams were added to all of the projects, so they cannot be removed, at least until half-filled project cancellation is implemented.
And I did not threaten him, I expressed my opinion that what he was doing is wrong. As I don`t think that saying "release me or I will fill this room with extension projects" (short transcript of the note slipped under the door) is correct. Why I also mentioned that this may constitute in some actions against the player, was that it seemed to be so obviously CB, as the player tried to benefit from the programming (in this case the character`s freedom) and I thought it was wrong. But hopefully somebody will look into the matter and make a decision, as to me, this is sort of a grey area of the game and I would like to have it either blackened or whitened - or blued

Go take a look at the other thread.

Thank you Bran-Muffin. I noticed it before, but I had to add my side of the story here too.
Just to make sure - so I will not be punished when I use this strategy to the extreme:
It is alright to demand release and threaten to start a lot of projects if you are not. And if you really are not released, then start like 100 projects with 1 gram of wood or stone, since it is alright to start building projects and they are not removed. Well, I might just as well try that out, should be interesting to play a character like that and see how other characters will react to it.

That is where the line is drawn. You going to create a character solely for that act, that is where the crb comes in.

Do us a favor. Suck it up, stop being a bitch about it. It happens, its happened with staff members. One staff member comes to mind with his character in Tircqi. He had alot of them started in the building his character was captured in.

Nice call Bran-Muffin. :D 8)
But yeah, mate, it happens all the time, and I made five, making 100 is definately a CRB and just idiocy. I placed 200 grams on each project which I THOUGHT in RP-terms was equivalent to shaping out like some words, which I think people might agree that's fair?

The incident in Tircqi had at least 10 of them with only 1 gram. It was allowed and is still looked on as a good rp type of move.

5 with more materials to form the words is alot better rp then the character in tircqi.
