Jos reveals himself in Karnon Forest?

It seems Jos has given one of the chars there a vision, and caused him to bring the Church of Jos to that place, but it is more likely to be someone breaking the Cap Rule. I think it was sorted out, but unsure....

I have seen other characters in other places not on the Quillanoi/Siom continent to be saying oh my Jos instead of oh my God. I point out to them that they couldn't know anything about the Church of Jos and then a argument occurs with someone saying that it is illegal to OOC in game which I'm sure that person isn't even a staff member and is saying that just to say though I could be wrong.

But yes, the Church of Jos seems to have spread remarkably across Cantr pretty fast. Even skipped over the sea to get to other continents. I wonder how many people get 'visions'.

There was a person in Cantr City like that, would not recognise OOC comments, and acted as they were IC comments, and was doing it deliberately.

Yes a rather annoying phenomenon, actually ... but in the Karnon Forest case, someone commented and the perpetrator immediately admitted it was a mistake ...

that's good, but I think it's a shame it's being tainted by the others Rk mentioned :(

I love it when Jos gets involved in an OOC fiasco and someone comments that OOC is illegal or something. I presume they didn't know that one of Jos' characters was the ones commenting in the OOC comments.

I personally don't think the "Jos" remarks are really a CR thing since they are made in good humor and don't really hurt anything within the game. As it is he is tech. God in cantr.

Actually he is the God in the Quillanoi and Siom area under the Church of Jos. Other places haven't be introduced to the Church of Jos and especially those places not on the continent that is was founded on. I can see someone saying oh my Jos in Quillanoi or Siom but I don't think they should in areas where the Church of Jos and the religion has not been introduced.

As a member of the players department, I do not have a problem with ooc comments as long as they are kept to a minimum. Pointing out a breach of the CR is acceptable-I do it sometimes as well, saying OOC: You cannot have that knoweldge ic, that is breaking the capital rule. Sometimes I'll say ooc if they do not stop I will be reporting the break to the Players Department. I have heard some other characters say the same thing.

OOC comments should simply be as limited as possible, since they are disruptive to the game. They are only breaking the CR in my opinion if they reveal IC information.

many cultures IRL have a concept of God that they didnt' necessarily get from any other culture...or of dieties....

but they're different languages.

on English speaking Cantr, who's to say the generic equivalent of "god" isn't "jos"? when you think about it it's just as arbitrary as saying "God".

Agrees with west
It's no that big of a deal. but If Jos wants it to not occur then I'll be sure to make sure everyone sits tight and not say it. Otherwise it really is un inportant in my opinion

I think that is taking a bit too far. That is like Native Americans praying to Allah before the Americas were discovered by the rest of world. Jos is the specific name for the God in that region.

So according to your argument, people can begin worshipping the Unnamed Ones in Quillanoi and Siom even when the people of Moku and Olipifirovash have not even traveled to Quillanoi or Siom.

Besides, I already know of two religions in the forest, possibly a few more. No need to be generic ^^
