Knocking?

I'm not sure if it counts as a suicidal newspawn, or as an abuse of programming, or a crb, but can anything be done about the people who knock for pages upon pages, every second with no end? There's one in Doryiskom and... I'm having trouble reading the events page now because of it.

I think this one was taken care of in-game. At least it stopped from my perspective.

That doesn't make it not a PD issue. I think they normally give warnings to people who do that.

Perhaps we should go to the suggestions page and suggest that there be a 10-knock limit per hour on the same door? That'd most definately stop suicidal knockers.

It's been suggested before, but the fact remains it would be annoying in game so it's only natural that it be annoying on the page as well. If you miss what someone said remember that someone is practically beating down the door and it is likely that you would mishear someone anyway.

It hasn't been solved completely in game yet Firstly, the character, whom is boarderline suicidal newspawn, still lives, and is free. Secondly, Doryiskom lacks a functioning "obliette" security system. Room in a room, and you have peace and quiet.
I don't think there should be anything coded to stop people from spending all thier minutes knocking, my character there had a legitimate, in game, in character reason to knock on the very same door 260 times on one day, and 197 times on one day.

I don't think it is neccessarily a breach though, It has been argued over and over again though.

If not a CRB, a misuse, abuse......?

It's just annoying, but that was the purpose. It's annoying to be locked up, but that is not a CRB. If the townspeople are bothered by it they will deal with it, if it against their morals to kill the person than they have to live with the cons of the type of government they have.

Not everyone can be the Stone Knights/MacGregors/Blackrocks/Lad Empire ...
I still smile when I thing about the thief on Aki though. Died in two hours, in real life, on the road. Kids, don't steal from the band of heavily armed people that kill things every day. It's a bad, bad idea.

Yes, but there are consequences to a society which looks down on the death penalty. I'm not saying it is bad, just that jailing people is bothersome and requires a lot more organization. It is not a CRB for your character to pound on the door in order to annoy those outside. It is a CRB for a player to bang on the door to annoy other players, but this character has been sending notes outside the door, in character, expressing how he wishes to get out, so I don't see it as the later.

Two hours? Pfft. You should've seen the last one in Siom, well, actually it wasn't a thief but a suicidal awkward puncher. People just laughed and I could swear he was lynched by the mob in mere minutes!
