Back to topic, i dont think that she did anything too wrong... other than the horrible RP... i think the best way to deal with chars like that is to deal with it IC

she was pretty out of order when she appeared though, with all that lightening stuff, what happened to her anyway?

She's still there as far as I know and is still pretending to do magic stuff, but since then its been limited to putting curses on my char and things like that, so as long as she doesn't try casting a fireball or something I don't care anymoere. Shona gets a kick out of crazy people, anyway. :)

yeah i guess

On a sort of related note, there's now a woman in AJS claiming to be an angel...

Edited to add deatils:

1419-6: Angel (loon) (a woman in her twenties) says: "Our God sent me, Bruce. I am here to do anything you need help with. I believe I am good at things."

1419-3: Bruce (really stupid) (a man in his twenties) says: "Who sent you, angel."

1419-3: Tea (a man in his twenties) says: "Help us in what way, angel?"

1419-3: Angel (loon) (a woman in her twenties) says: "*she shakes her head* I don't have a name... I'm an angel, sent to help people like you."

Can't see the problem. These chars are no different to the religious nutters etc, and it's up to other chars to decide whether to believe them/test their powers etc.

Someone quipped shouldn't she have wings, but the Angel didn't claim to have them.

She just claims to have a close relationship with her god, Jos. That is just reliegeous, and perhaps a bit deluded. If she claims she can do things she can't, she won't be able to and she'll lose face and may get an adjustment in character. I hope she sticks around. I'm going to enjoy introducing her and everyone else to the religion that is there, but been kept pretty much to myself, since there was no one else to talk about it with.

She just opened a can of worms.

Well with all the stuff about being an angel sent from God I thought at first she was getting to close to real life religion, (Aren't 'angels' basically only from the bible?) but then she said that God was actaully Jos.

I think she's making the town a little more interesting, before it was mostly hunting all the time, but isn't talking about Jos, or even Cantr, unless that's considered the name of the world...though I thought it was just a city, even if my char in AKi had never heard of it, a little OOC?

If she wants to call her imaginary god Jos, why not. I think all chars know they are Cantrians, even if they no longer know automatically the name of the town they are in.

Using Jos as a god is a little sketchy, because it's just too likely to lead to coincidences...

This has been discussed before. I know it. There are some Temples of Jos scattered about from the old days. I just can't remember with certainty which way it went. Is woshiping Jos allowed?

Worshiping Jos has been deemed to be allowed in areas where this Church's influence have travelled. I do, unfortunately, see Jos worshippers in other areas, but it's hard to stem the flow. I just make sure any of my charries that are not anywhere's near the Quillanoi/Siom area do not make reference to him.

also, with WindDancer, i just saw it as harmless (i cant remember if i was there when she spawned or if i just saw it when deadboy was playing) but i really did think she was crazy and weird :? Even IRL someone that claims to be a fairy would just be laughed at and probably sent to a mental asylum. I really think that she should've been locked up in game but i know that would be possible as there is only the town hall in Baaak Hills (west).
