I've found several notes in Vlyryan fields (east) conected to "Zakon Wiekiego Zygurda" ("Great Zygurd Oder") with images on outer (non-Cantr server:

It seems that people are so lazy to upload images to Cantr server
Maybe there should be limitation, that images on outer server would not show in notes to force people to upload them to Cantr server.

Well if you send something to the image address and they never answer, it's much quicker to host a thing on your own. Besides if you're for example drawing a map, you'd have to send it several times.

EDIT ...because you don't draw it all at once and your character might die before finishing it.

I wanted to ask Anthony there if he or staff needs help with uploads, but unfortunately this topic is locked now.

Why people can't upload images on cantr server themselves?
Answer was that people are waiting for CR breach by uploading wrong images. But while anybody can link in note image from external server, they can still put in notes CR-breaching images, so this reason has no sense. Moreover it's easier to bad player to put wrong image than to good player to put legal image!
Letting players uploading by themselves will make that images available to them immediatelly and also will reduce use of external images links.

I tried to discuss that with Anthony, but he taked this as a complaint and closed the topic. This maybe could happend because my English is not fluent, so he didn't undestood my reasons well. I'm sorry for this, I didn't want to be taken as that. Let's just make Cantr better and talk.

Yes, and it should be possible if someone will upload wrong image, to trace all notes with that image and delete them immediately.

So, Anthony, is there any help needed? I'm in Staff as Polish translator, but I think that I could help with this if it possible.

Well I tried! Seriously I sent a picture once but maybe I got the address wrong then or something... Or then Cantr just hates me. Do you need to write something special in the title or message to make it get through? And nice to know about the size limits...

Well, uhh, clearly label it "Image Upload" or something. Otherwise, it might look like spam...

If it's too large and gets stuck in at the weigh station, it is either myself, or I believe Jos (or some other phantom helper), who checks and sends them through. Some kind of title indicating it is truly a pic for Cantr is nice, but I can usually tell, and send them on, usually within a day, two at most.

I'm guilty of the link thing too, I don't even bother with the picture stuff ..EVER.
