Just another newspawn that doesn't really understand how the languages work here in Cantr. Can he get a friendly poke so that he can hear how things are from a figure of authority?

And while I am at it, I might as well point out another excessive use of OOC information (possibly the same person) in Akypor.

1225-1: (Crazy?) says: "they are an ancient race of manipulative humans.]"

1225-1: Evelyne Fiorenzi says: "Nazi's? I'm sorry sir..I'm not understanding a word you say...*raises a brow*"

1225-1: (Crazy?) says: "Lemmings are a mindless rodent that are SOOOO dumb that they would follow eachother off a cliff. They fallow only their instincts and care not for the lives of others. Like locusts they ravage the countryside, and in their wake they leave only wasteland. Kindof like Nazi's"

That's kind of funny.

Yeah it is. And I would have just brushed it off, up until he brought the NAZIs which was just a hair over the line for me, but it is funny none the less, it is just that my character is confused beyond all belief.

Does he think Cantrians live on earth in the distant future? I do sometimes feel like it's set in the movie Waterworld because of the mixed up levels of technology and the little bits of OOC knowledge that creep in.

Actually sometimes I feel the game world is more like that Ray Liotta movie No Escape. Or a little Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome. Who plays Tina Turner, then?


I agree that was funny until the Nazi comment, too. I don't think the Xombie thing, or the lemmings should be a punishable offense...just tell him to try some more creativity. Cantr could use some mythology, and campfire stories about the undead, but the Nazi thing is just too specific.

I always think of it like Midworld, from the Dark Tower series-- it's not-earth, but there's cultural bleed-over all over the place.

What if someone in Cantr says that some people are like fascists? It is usage of OCC knowledge or not? Or is it just one of possible political system like communism or democracy? Or maybe there should be none of those terms used in the game?

I don't mean to out anyone, but I know for a fact who this person is. They're the one who turned me onto Cantr. He told me that he was "getting bored" and decided to mix things up a bit.

Those two people are the same person. it dissapoints me that he'd go all out like that, but... anyway.

He's also made a bunch of zombie characters that would just moan and punch people. <.< I took cantr off of his favourites list and told him to ____ off.

Well in order for this game to truly simulate a society, we shouldn't be allowed to speak any "OOC" language out there. Langauges were formed, by societies.

But which terms are OOC language and which are not?

I meant... if this were to truly simulate society, we wouldn't speak English, or Polish, or whatever.

Because real societies don't use languages, Nick?
