Is it considered a violation of the Crdinal Rule when you say in-game something like "I'm going to sleep now" prior to logging of for the day?

Some folks do, some don't. It isn't really against the CR, but I tend to do a "well I'm gonna take a nap now, come get me if you need something" you know, that'll do the job fine.

Just don't use Out Of Character (often called OOC) messages. Like...

A man in his twenties says: (ooc gotta go time for my dinner and i love to ruin good roleplaying and i hate commas and capital letters lolz)

Please :) nice to mee you too

No, it is commonly and accepted roleplay.

(Wrong section, anyways)

Edit: Well, TSL answered it before me.

Oh, right.
Silly me.

Sorry for that, it's quite late and I didn't really take my time to read through all the secions.

By the way, it's the Capital Rule, not the Cardinal rule...

Just nagging about details....

Can we lock this topic before it goes into more pointless diversions?

Some of the official background info says cardinal rule. Ha, this must prove the starter actually read those things.

No one ever said he didn't. He was simply looking for clarification.

But someone who doesn't know that the expression "cardinal rule" is used in the background info might not have read it. Ok I admit I only noticed the thing while reading them through second time much later on so it's no absolute proof of who's read the background info and who's just been checking the forums. I'm just being prickly.
