Newspawn stealing & possible CR breach (*ar)

In Sil we have just been robbed by someone who was (AFAIK) a newspawn who took all kinds of stuff, loaded it in a boat (QUO VADIS) and stole the boat and the goods. Before he left however, he thanked us for the goods and announced his name.

Then a day later another man in his twenties pulled about the same stunt and also thanked us for it. I don't know what boat he left in, but I gave him the name "dief!"

Please have a look into this.

We are looking into this. I am having trouble locating the first character you mentioned. Neelix, if you could pm with with some details, such as your player name and name of your character who labelled the second one, it might help.

How is that a CR breach?

Nick: If the second guy knew where to find stuff and what buildings are unlocked because the player had seen them the other day on the other character.

If you don't lock it or pick it up, then it's bound to happen that some newspawn is going to click every place they can till they get in and then take what ever they like... this doesn't look like a CR it looks like your charies were fools and left things out and open so your charies were had...

I am aware that it some newspawns will take food and run away, however, it has happened three times in a row, while it has not happened in a long while and all in about the same manner: The newspawn picks up everything, carries it to a boat, comes back for more, checks all the building loads up his boat, says goodbye and leaves.

Once, I can understand and admire the courage. Twice, I am getting doubts whether someone saw it and wanted to repeat it. Three times in a week is no coincidence anymore.

It still doesn't voilate CR... I think your point isn't valide
Actualy I think your the one trying to commit the CR by trying to get whom evers account locked so you have more time to remove said person...

so, in the same week three different newspawns have stolen three different boats?

If they were doing it to get killed sure, but it just seems they're all opportunistic theives

I am hurt that anyone would even *think* that I would report this to get some advantage out of it myself. I have no clue where the thieves went and have no means of getting after them.
I gave all the relevant information to the PD, they can judge best whether this is a CR breach or not. And I'll leave it at that.

I was just having problems seeing how it could breach the CR that's all. After all, it's not a breach to spawn a theif and then try to loot the town, only if they are trying o get themselves killed because they don't want to spawn there.

I'll leave it with the PD and stop saying things based on speculation.

But Neelix was showing that these charries were obviously using the information from the previous charrie to steal from the same place. is it me or is Charrie to Charrie telopathism kinda a breach of CR?

Ah, now I understand, and unfortunately I do have to say that it doesn't seem much of a breach, after all if everything is unlocked there is absolutely nothing stopping a newspawn form going into the buildings and looting to their merry content. It doesn't take OOC knowledge to go into an unlocked building, infact many people look in the buildings as a means to familiarise themselves with their surroundings.

The fact that the similar thing happened I think is just unfortunate that they were in a position to have it happen twice (especially with the boats).

It happening so close together I think is coincidence, as anyone could have done it, they only had to look.

Even if they were both the same player, I wouldn't think it to be a breach.
A stupid player, though. Why not steal it all the first time?
