Capital Rule Breach in Krif Hills

833-6: a woman in her thirties says: "I believe the words you were looking for were, "I apologize for hunting in your lands without permission, insulting your clan, and neglecting to read your laws, Dame Mac Gregor. I submit myself to your mercy." "

There were only two people in the hills when my party went hunting, and they didn't return to the town yet. The only way the people could know we hunted was if they used OOC information.

Of course I'm still wounded for mouthing of and now rotting in jail, but somebody is breaking the capital rule.

that was Seven Mac Gregor :P
you didnt post the entire thing either, you apparently didn't understand what she was trying to say, ill post it..(for CR's sake) bottom up, of course
i emphasized the important part

833-7: You see Don being dragged from the central area of Krif Hills (north) to Krif Storage Facility - Krif Hills (North) Expansion.

833-7: You hurt Don using a war bow, who loses 32 percent strength.

833-7: You say: "*grits his teeth and grabs his bow* If you had any common sense you`d be smart enough to read the laws, and take a minute to understand them! You have shown no respect for us! Those who disrespect Clan Mac Gregor must face consequences, you know."

833-6: Seven Mac Gregor says: "You arrived from the West Hills, which are also Mac Gregor lands, where you were hunting without permission. You`d know what laws you had broken, and what Sassenach is, if you had bothered to read the laws either here or in the West Hills. I have no patience for fools. "

833-6: Don says: "We have just arrived! We didn`t hunt or anything here! What law have we broken other than be targets of your tyranny! What the hell is a Sassenach anyway?!?!"

833-6: Seven Mac Gregor says: "So, Don and Dove, you`ve got the choice between standing still and accepting your punishment, and thereby living, or fleeing or otherwise breaking more laws, which is death. "

833-6: Seven Mac Gregor says: "Our scouts tell us that you were hunting on our lands without permission. You`ve broken our laws and insulted the Mac Gregors, and you dare call ME a criminal? In the Mac Gregor Lands, young one, I am the law. "

833-6: You see Don give a bone fur scraper to a woman in her twenties.

833-6: You see Don give a wooden shield to a woman in her twenties.

833-6: You see a man in his thirties arriving in Krif Hills (north), coming from Seatown Road to Krif.

833-6: You see Don give a shovel to a woman in her twenties.

833-6: You see Don give a stone hammer to a woman in her twenties.

833-6: You see Don give an axe to a woman in her twenties.

833-6: You see Don give a hunting bow to a woman in her twenties.

833-6: Seven Mac Gregor says: "Gregarach, take these two and put them into the KSF building with their friend. They`re a few steps away from being declared Sassenach, so if they know what`s good for them they`ll stand still and not struggle. Unless they`re so foolish as to think they can get away from the Hills without our permission."

833-6: Don says: "Haven`t! We have NOT done anything but arrive in your town to see you assualting our companion! From all the evidience YOU`RE the criminal here!"

833-6: Seven Mac Gregor says: "I believe the words you were looking for were, "I apologize for hunting in your lands without permission, insulting your clan, and neglecting to read your laws, Dame Mac Gregor. I submit myself to your mercy." "

833-6: You see Seven Mac Gregor hurt Don using a sabre.

833-6: Seven Mac Gregor says: "Gregarach...*nods* "

833-6: Seven Mac Gregor says: "you mean you HADN`T done anything. "

833-6: Don says: "We haven`t done anything! You will let Dove and myself go, you Mac Gregor Barbarians!"

833-6: Seven Mac Gregor says: "Now, Don and Dove, you two just sit tight for a moment while we decide what to do with you."

833-6: You see Korrigan being dragged from the central area of Krif Hills (north) to Krif Storage Facility - Krif Hills (North) Expansion.

833-6: You see Daniel MacGregor talking to Seven Mac Gregor.

833-6: You see Daniel MacGregor hurt Korrigan using a crossbow.

833-6: You see Seven Mac Gregor talking to Daniel MacGregor.

833-6: You see Seven Mac Gregor talking to Daniel MacGregor.

833-6: You see Daniel MacGregor talking to Seven Mac Gregor.

833-6: Korrigan says: "Do you remember the way I showed you?"

833-6: Korrigan says: "Dove, Don go on without me I dont want to hinder your travels for my stupidity..."

833-6: Korrigan says: "*Looks up with a bit of hope* What would you have me do? I`ll do anything, I`ll clean the outhouse I dont care"

833-6: Seven Mac Gregor says: "Hm...That`s an interesting question, Korrigan. Although your crime calls for death, your attitude shows you to be penitent. Perhaps you can stay here and do some work for us for a while."

833-6: Korrigan says: "Is there no way I can repay my debt to the Mac Gregor Clan but by death Mistress Seven?"

833-6: Korrigan says: "Im sorry! All I wanted to do was go on a little adventure with my friends, we werent even supposed to stay here long. Everything was looking up and I was having the time of my life, *looks back down at the ground* Now Im gonna die..."

833-6: Korrigan says: "Im sorry! All I wanted to do was go on a little adventure with my friends, we werent even supposed to stay here long. Everything was looking up and I was having the time of my life, *looks back down at the ground* Now Im gonna die..."

833-5: Seven Mac Gregor says: "What you expected is irrelevent. Krif has no power over the hills. It is your responsibility as a traveler to know the customs of the land you`re in, lest you offend. As you certainly have."

833-5: Korrigan says: "But Ive seen a set of rules like that in Krif I just didnt expect that they would be different here...*Looks down scared and ashamed*"

833-5: Seven Mac Gregor says: "You`ll have to plead your case to me, Korrigan. I`m Seven Mac Gregor, Captain of the Gregarach and the person who will decide your fate. You may refer to me as Mistress Seven. We expect all visitors to our lands to read the laws; they are there for all to read. We take no responsibility for those not responsible enough to read the laws of the land. Krif is not a Mac Gregor Land; they do things differently there. Here, Mac Gregor word is law. As for a warning, the law on the ground is your warning. "

833-5: You see Korrigan talking to Don.

833-5: You see Korrigan talking to a woman in her twenties.

833-5: You see a woman in her twenties arriving in Krif Hills (north), coming from Mulof Road to Krif Hills (west).

833-5: Korrigan says: "Before anyone strikes me may I plead my case to your leader at least?"

833-5: Korrigan says: "So I take back my statement after reading the VITAL LAWS, but I didnt read that before because you have the same thing in Krif and it says nothing about limestone. Shouldnt a person have a warning for doing such a crime? You should have a note that warns everyone. The limstone rule is way down on the list of rules. What do you do when a newspawn takes some? Kill him also? Please all I am asking for is my life, I will leave if you wish but dont kill me. I stopped didnt I? I understand if I took some limestone and ran, but I stopped gathering so what is the problem?"

833-5: Korrigan says: "Pardon me but if you have a capital rule, shouldnt you have a note lying around explaining it? I am merely a traveler there was nothing on the ground saying I could not collect limestone. Im sorry I stopped."

833-5: Seven Mac Gregor says: "Gregarach, please assist me. This young man would have been wise to read our laws. Now he shall spend some time thinking about his actions. "

833-5: You see Seven Mac Gregor hurt Korrigan using a sabre.

833-5: Seven Mac Gregor says: "Tim is correct. Korrigan, you have hunted without permission, collected limestone without permission, and shown no respect for the laws of the land."

833-4: You see Faran Tyndor talking to Seven Mac Gregor.

833-4: You see Faran Tyndor pointing at Don.

833-4: You ate 40 grams of your carrots.

833-3: You hurt Korrigan using a war bow, who loses 27 percent strength.

833-3: You say: "Korrigan, you have broken a capital rule. You may not collect limestone without permission. This is punishable by death. Therefore, this applies to you."

833-3: You see Don arriving in Krif Hills (north), coming from Mulof Road to Krif Hills (west).

*****833-3: You see Korrigan hurt a mountain goat using a hunting bow.

833-3: You see Korrigan hurt a racoon using a hunting bow.*****

833-3: Korrigan says: "Hello Everyone my name is Korrigan, My compainions should be arriving briefly are stay here will be short so if you want to trade start talkin. I have plenty of cotten and a limited amount of cotton yarn for sale if anyone is intrested"

833-2: You see Korrigan arriving in Krif Hills (north), coming from Mulof Road to Krif Hills (west).

 Upon much reveiw of my own day, I found the individual who was the communicator. So this was NOT a capital rule breach. I am very sorry, but it all seemed so suspicious and being greeted in town by saber slashes makes a person jumpy.

Though I wouldn't put it past the Mac Gregors.

To think of it, I'm still confused. I thought there were no spectators in west hills. I understand Korrigan being punished but what did Dove (that would be my poor character) do except traveling with the other two? Oh well, she did actually hunt but I think no one saw that. That's it, I've edited this message at least four times...

If I understand right, The other two had hunted in the east hills and some one had wittnessed that and told Seven Macgregor.

They hunted in the west hills and a witness from there told Seven.

Said witness happens to still be there in the North hills by the way.

Of course that's not the ONLY reason he was locked away. I could count the list of law infractions but 4 day rule and all.

This is true. West Hills, though. Even if they hadn't, Korrigan broke rules in KHN right in front of everyone.

Seko, you'll notice Dove wasn't hurt (to my knowledge anyway)
because she didn't do anything dumb to earn it, except hunt in the West Hills. Korrigan and Don were just being dumb, which is a capital offense in the Mac Gregor Lands

Oh, and the Kin' Daein' means the King's Doing--the person who makes sure what the King wants done, gets done. Tha'd be Seven Mac Gregor.

Many hate the Mac Gregors, and with good reason. And the irritating mouth was properly roleplayed, after the first thing you see when entering a town is your good companion being hit with a saber. :P
