CR Question

I have three characters around the same region. Two in the Reniov/Siom region and one in the Brunoi region.

Despite my best efforts, my characters in the Reniov/Siom area are about to encounter and will most likely exchange favors and goods for IC reasons. I plan on playing them as strict strangers and will do nothing to benefit one more than the other. The are both fairly and equally developed characters and I have no intention of using one as a "mule" for the other.

Am I still in danger of any CR breaches?

Since you describe their cooperation as a one-time interaction that is based on IC reasons, you have a good chance not to be breaching the CR.
To be on the safe side, you should explain a few details and send that explanation to players@cantr.net. They will be able to determine the nature of the siuation, and they will help you with advice, if necessary.

Asking was a good idea. ;)

Yes it would be a good idea to tell the player department. It isn't easy to have chars close together, chance encounters are very tricky. By telling the players department you'd be showing your honesty

In some situations it's hard for your chars to not work together, for example if the world's too dangerous (aki continent) or they share a common enemy (cantr city region). Even then, you have to make sure you play them as though they were just someone else's char...(which I sometimes do a bit too well, and expect the chars to respond when I have to make them speak XD)
