Making up character history

As this game requires Role Playing to be interesting. Is there a problem with creating a ficticious history? The below conversation just occurred and it annoys the heck out of me. I want to play this game and create a reason why I would want to travel. My character needs a history in order to "search" for an identity.
IS THERE A PROBLEM WITH THIS? DOESN'T CLAIMING THAT THE "GODS MADE ME" REQUIRE JUST AS MUCH FICTICIOUS HISTORY???
AND ISN'T THIS PLAYER OUT OF CHARACTER??

775-3: a man in his twenties says to you: "I play thyis game to get away from people like you. Shut the hell up and leave me be. You re making shit up . So leave me alone and we will be fine."
775-3: You say: "What God made you? My mother never told me about a God? From where did you hear this story? Perhaps it is true I don`t know, but where did you hear it? Did your God make you twenty when you were created?"
775-3: a man in his twenties says: "No, your wrong. The GODS made me. So stop making things up."
775-3: You say: "A mother is who bore you Twenty some years ago. Or perhaps you were a creation put together with Carrots and Potatos."
775-3: a man in his twenties says: "I am sorry but i don`t know what a Mother"s Sister is. Whats a Mother? "
775-3: You say: "Does anyone know the family of Anna in the region? This is my mother`s sister. I have heard that she lives in a place many days away in a place called Olipifirvash. A note I found on the ground mentions this place. Is it real? Has anyone been there?"

No this isn't a CR Breach nor is it a CR Breach to do that, in my opinion, unless you say something like this, "My parents moved to here in Lad. from Pok." What I often do is that as a player I absorb the history of a place and then fit my character at a young age into tht histroy. So since James Whitmore would have been around a boy at the time of Drojf Massacre and that was where he spawned then I figure that he witnessed those events first hand as a child so it could deeply affect him. It is a fine line to walk though and if you aren't sure then the best bet is to stay away from doing it.
It is not against the CR to create religion. There are many places that have religion that try to explain how people came to Cantr.

This was an OOC comment and wasn't necessary. I'm sure the player will be warned about this from Players Department.

So, to make sure I'm absolutely clear. If I find a note on the ground (which I did) and it had the name of a town on it, I can say my mother told me this or that about this town or that I have a relative there.
My whole story was a fabrication to build a character history to give me a chane to travel with another character that said they wanted to explore. I do plan to go to that town and ask for the family of Anna (which should not exist since I made it up).
But, if a character says "yes, I am from that family", then I've made a family connection, right (or at least my character thinks I have). Even though we're both making it up.

That would be a very fine line and one that I wouldn't personally walk but...

...if you character is using it as a fabrication or lie so that he can do something then that is perfectly fine. Our characters are allowed to lie about what they want. If they see a note on the ground with a town's name on it and they want to make up that they have been there before or lived there when they were young then that is perfectly fine. But you as a player must remember that it is a lie even if your character comes to believe it or convinces other characters that it is true.
But, if a character says "yes, I am from that family", then I've made a family connection, right (or at least my character thinks I have). Even though we're both making it up.
Just as long as that character is played by another player and this wasn't worked out with that player out of game. One of my characters claimed he had a brother and that is father was someone important in the world. He was able to convince the brother character that he was his older brother and that that important person was their father. So as long as you don't cross the line then you should be fine.

Wll, it's an RP game isn't it? Can't say you're nothing more than code in a database, so why not make a nice story up? Ofcourse you could RP a discussion ingame as to whether you were created by gods or born.
You only used info available to you, so no CR breach. now, iof you were a newspawn and there was no Olip mentioned in the note or in any convrsation, then it'd be a breach. Sofar, everything is perfectly OK.

If said histroy note did exist and =as to be considered acurrat I would suggest you contact the PD and get your history of your character approved first before stating things this way we know whats up. This way the PD would have a chance to advise you on what you can do and know. I would also suggest regularly talking with the PD about this character that way nothing comes up in the future they are notalready aware of.

This would not be a CR breach unless the person had multiple characters there and it appears that he does not.

*facepalm* The CR doesn't only apply to the number of chars in a location. If the moment you spawn you head off to the nearest source of iron because you know where it is, that's a CR breach, if you organize an action with another player through means other than the game, that's a breach, if you use any information that your character wouldn't know from his/her own experience, that would be a CR breach. Like those people who ask how to get somewhere because the 'have a friend' there.

I know, but this didn't show any signs of that so I didn't both NVN.

I'm completely new to the game. So, let me clarify the last 2 replies about having multiple characters in one place...I don't...but can my characters meet in game if it is chance or should I avoid my character purposely?

They can meet and converse, but they are NOT allowed under almost any circumstances that I know allowed to work together or give things to each other. They must have their own lives and goals. Oh and they aren't allowed to know what other people know unless they have also learned that by being there/hearing that.

Got it. That makes sense I guess. It takes too long to travel anyway, and I assume the game places them pretty far apart, so it's rarely an issue I presume.
Anyway, thanks for the clarification.

You would be suprised. I mean people will travel that long distance get weapons and start massacres, and sometimes they will spawn close to each other. I had three different characters spawn in the Karnon region, but I seperated them.

You are allowed to have your chars interact, possibly work together, if there is a compelling in-game reason. For example, both of my chars in Cantr City have had their lives completely smashed by Piers Anthony's invasion, and they would both join a resistance movement given the chance. However, keeping your characters' motivations separate is very difficult if you aren't experienced in separating yourself from your chars, so having them meet is not advised. Basically, you have to treat all characters in the game as if you didn't know who played them.

That is why I said under almost all circumstances. As you said if a town was attacked and two of your characters were there you wouldn't just use one of them to defend the town. You would use both of course, but I mean they aren't allowed to go around getting stuff for one character or go around acting like idiots passing a weapon attacking people.
