Polish In Dory

Firstly I don't have an issue with Polish newspawns in that location as it makes the game more fun for me and encourages me to learn Polish.

The problem I seem to have is Polish newspawns whom know both English and Polish. The second language, Polish, hasn't been fully integrated into the area so spawning as bi-lingual would be fundamentally impossible. I mean... thats not even allowed to begin with... is it? :?

Don't have a problem with a language barrier but it just seems odd and forces other into odd situations where we have to make up some off kilter excuse as to why so many Polish newspawns MAGICALLY know English but still emote in Polish. :x

Whatever, I don't really care. Maybe I shouldn't say anything because it will just start a Jestem hate'n' session?

Spawning bilingual IS impossible. The characters knows only what language they spawned in, they may only learn other other languages through extended (2 or 3 cantr years) exposure to them, and even then shouldn't be fluent since it's not their first language.

Pm the chars that are breaking this rule and i'll get the hate instead. :D

all newspawns, know how to do things and can speak one language, why cant they know two languages. we know we have skills and just need to try things.

Most players only know one language good enough to play in it, yet anyone can spawn in a mixed language environment whether or not they know the other language(s). If characters were allowed to know multiple languages from spawning, that would give players who know several languages an advantage over ones that are monolingual. Also it would encourage the less erudite players to use translators and dictionaries without any clue of proper grammar just to get even with the truly bilingual characters. This would lead into a very nasty garbled mess. Having to rp a learning process levels out the playing field.
