It might be just so that the player is new and doesn't know that you don't automatically get a share from engaging on someone else's resource gathering project. But anyway, Esko and Timo in Kamferimetsä are working on the same wood gathering project and they haven't spoken to each other as far as I can see. It's possible they may have spoken on the road but I doubt it.

Oh, and the project is rather huge so the player(s) is/are most likely (a) newbie(s).

i have my chars help random people with a project while they wait, might he be doing the same thing?

I always have my chars working even if its not there project and other chars set up projects and random people work on them to stay busy.

What would he be waiting for? It's a fresh language group, everyone is new, everyone has needs. I doubt a person would be helping another without back thoughts.

I randomly help people out of boredom, Seko. Even older chars. And don't ask anything in return nor even tell them.
