It's called using the event box instead of the whisper box by ACCIDENT, no different than forgetting to use a # by ACCIDENT. Really, what is the problem here? I'm really at my wits end having to clarify the obvious over and over again in these threads. I can't wait until I retire.

Well, despite your disbelief, it has and does happen, as I stated up front when I made my original objection. At some point players need to be responsible for their content and not expecting the game to do absolutely everything for them. If you don't trust that you can use the mechanic without screwing up, don't use it. Easy solution.
