ok so Jos asked recently why there arnt any cars, and the reason is because they are worth so much that if you could afford one you wouldnt ever have to use it, but they are worth so much that you could never let anybody else use them....
so ive come up with two things to stop this and make cars more popular again.
1. you have a drivers seat, passengers seat system, where one very trustworthy person could drive the car, and the others could come along too but cant change where the car is going
2. you have a car "autopilot" Whereby the car leaves at a set date, locked, when it arrives at the location set everybody is automatically thrown out, then they can enter it and leave it at will, but not change the settings, then at a set date it will return, passengers or no passengers

The driver's seat would not do anything to fix the trust problem - the problem is not that owners can't trust the passengers on their cars, but that they can't find drivers.
The autopilot is unrealistic (we, who are at least 50 years ahead of Cantrians by any technological measure, don't have widespread vehicle autopilot), not to mention an example of automation. It has been suggested that trains could work in this way, but cars should not.

Sho youve got to remember cantr isnt realistic, you dont build a house with 25kg of stone and a trowel, so it doesnt really matter if the technology is ahead of us

I would really like to see this suggestion implemented. A 'machine' with which or 'building' in which to start and maintain travelling projects on vehicles. To prevent every passanger from changing a vehicle's speed and direction.
