repairing

Postby T-shirt » Mon Nov 21, 2005 10:20 pm

When repairing an object the activity screen is selected. I would like to suggest that the Inventory screen remains selected when a repair project is created. I often make several repair projects in a row and it's bothersome to select the Inventory screen after each repair selection.

Yes, getting redirected to the projects screen is a pain in the butt. Put us back in our inventories.

I object. Why would you be repairing several items at the same time anyway? That bug is going to be fixed, and items put on repair will stil rot.
Please think about other players, that want to repair an item and start immediately working on it.

For people who wish to start on a project immediately, the same as farming could be programmed, where work on the project is started when the character is not working on something else.

The "repair project is a stasis field" effect is officially a bug, though a bunch of people (myself included) think it should be a permanent feature, or at least a temporary bridge to a permanent solution for storing tools.

Analysis of existing repair projects shows the majority of characters set up only 1 repair project at any one time. It makes more sense for the players of those characters to be subsequently presented with the project involvement screen.

I have therefore moved this suggestion to the rejected suggestion forum
