i don't know how much space it will take up on the server but i was thinking of possibly having a mapping system other than the written maps in words.
a picture map with all the places you been maybe even disances marked down you can add to it by reading someone elses map as well and possibly mark who's currently ruling over which territories, posibly have a click for details feature where clicking on a spot will tell you what resources are available.
mapping system

What many people do is cut/paste their locations pictures as they travel into a larger graphic.
These graphics can be uploaded to our server and brought up from within a note.
In fact any picture can.
There was an excellent historical looking map sent in a few weeks back that was based on the true maps that the chracter has pt together, but had a parchment style drawn map look. Very neat.
At the present time graphics to be included in notes can be sent to programming@cantr.net. In the future we map use an alternate e-mail for this. That will be annouceced later.
While all file types are accepted JPG & GIF are preferred. We can convert other formats into these however sending us a BMP loads up our collective inboxes.
