Snatching / Stealing

Violence is bad, yeah?
It is time for pickpockets, isn't it?


Snatching (back or away, of course).
A competitive instantly action between thief and victim's strenght (and luck).
If succesfull, thief gets the object being pulled.
Only possible on visible items.


Pilfering (stealthy thefts).
A competitive time-consuming action between thief's manual skill and victim's perception.
If succesfull, thief gets the object and nobody notice it.
If failure, thief's try gets public and everyone in the room get aware of it.
Otherwise thief can't get the object but no one notices it.

So in the event of a successful snatch, the victim doesn't realise it's happened until later?
You'd better keep out of the reach of prog d, who'll be inundated by posts about missing items.

xD, I dind't though in that, LOL

(BTW, no, victim always realize the snatching at the moment, succesfull or not; it is the stealthy theft which could produce that funny effect)
