Ok, let me put it simply, geneologies im fine with (it's nice to know who you got your skills from). there are no npcs in cantr (or so I heard) so that gets rid of children. if sex was added I wouldn't be aloud to play cantr any more.

I read that quote Marian, I don't know who said it but to who ever said it: LOL! Animals are NPC's... 'Non Player Characters'...
Nakranoth's "evil" character says:
"Thief! That's terrible! *shakes his head* That would hurt people's feeling if I did that."

Haha okay now that I've read this entire topic, ... Wow! I agree entirely that this should be implemented. Yay!
And I found out who made the post that I referred to above.

I haven't written about this situation earlier because, for one thing, I wasn't sure where it belonged. It is about children, but not sex (particularly).
In the French world, there are many places where you might be the only person around. One of my French people left a settlement with a man to go into the forest and settle a new town. We were the only two people around, so when a newspawn showed up, we knew he was ours - partially my traits and partially my "husband"'s. When newspawns arrive in a town with 45 people, who knows whose skill they draw from, just two random people. Our "son" was not with us when another "son" arrived, just me and my husband.
The point of this touching story is that this truly is a genetic family and my feelings for these people runs way beyond what it would for a newspawn I would just adopt . I DO feel biologically or geneticaly linked to them.
I think that if and when babies arrive, people will be surprised about their feelings toward the little ones (even if, like mine, they arrived at 20 years old). Although my "husband" and I didn't create these children by means of sex, it is a powerful feeling to know that we created these two people. Babies/kids are great! My "husband" says everytime we're alone together and he falls asleep, a baby arrives. Maybe it's just magic!
Now there are more people in our settlement and we don't know who belongs to whom, but our little family of four is the core group for me.
Thanks for listening. notsure
