as for the suggestion, my point still stands - more staff power would be required.

As for the argument that anything new from the RD should be implemented via a way of bluepronts / design specs in rewards for 'inventing' projects - done automatically (so not necessarily requiring more staff time) - this wouldn;t be good - it would just exacerbate the inequalities in Cantr that already exist.

If you want something new, ask for it here, and if it gets included, it gets included for all characters...

What does it take for this to get dumped in the "Rejected Suggestions" box where it belongs? I haven't seen any substantial new arguments on either side in days.

Pie, if you were to do that, you would get your name booted from the forums. Its been done. And as nice of a suggestion as one might think this to be, I simply do not think it is within our capabilites. Each item that you want to add the game needs to be brainstormed, researched, balanced, and finally programmed. And thats for things that are easy to add. Nukes or whatever you are looking for is impossible. And the sheer volume of inventions people would want would destroy the minds of the RD/PD. So unless you want full time programmers (which would cost you some bones), your only way of inventing is here, on the forums. And while it may not always seem it, the staff is hard at work to implement many new things that will keep cantr fun and exciting. I won't lock it, but you must understand that invention can only be role played at this point IG. When a new machine arises, say you made it first and try to sell the idea...some may play along. And if you want to add something to the game, make a good suggestion on the forum.

I have spoken.

The thing with my idea can, absolutly work, IF you think about it right.

AND, I know how to make another profile.. in fact.. i alredy have three others in waiting, just in case i do get booted off.

SO!!! My idea is THIS!!! When you select somthing to build.. lets say.. A CLAYMORE!! You have a button to invint. and you would need EXACTLY the same tools to create this other thing.. but the resources needed would be different. AND, the attaking power is SUGGESTED, and then this person has to prove that the attaking power is right by linking a sight with his or her invintion. ALL WE NEED FROM THE P.D MEMBER WHO RESEIVES THIS MESSAGE IS A SIMPLE YES OR NO!!! And then, if that member sais yes, the person who made the invinton would reseiv a bluprintnt allowing them to be able to build this invinton.

AND, it would take more than a day for a real life preson to invint a battal ship, so the R.D member dosent have to be online AT THE EXACT MOMENT THAT HE GETS THE MESSAGE!!

And nucular boms COULD BE IMPLUMENTED. IT IS POSSIBLE, but you guys wouldn't exept a nuke into cantr.

This makes it so out of character knowledge suddenly becomes vital to play cantr. Lets say I happen to know how to construct an inter-continental balistic missle, with a fully operation launching system, which the pd authorizes. The problem is, not all the players of cantr know how to make an ICBM. There, you are shot down, you cannot possibly get past that hurdle, that argument is based right at the heart of cantr.
